Schefter:BB may be fined but not suspended

Shouldn't even get a fine, the ignorant scab was ignoring him so he was just getting his attention.

What should happen is that crew should be suspended because not one of them knew the rules :bricks:

Theres going to be a lot of fines for this game. Harbaugh did the same thing, Reed for his hit on Deion, the non call hit on Edelperson. The refs should all be fined for incompetence.

Spikes & maybe Moore for the Tweets they posted too! Vince for running straight at a ref after the Fg...there's going to be a lot of charity money from this game.

The reason for so many fines, is the anarchy that the NFL sponsors by allowing these idiots to referee games..

Goodell should fine himself for this entire debacle with the refs

Because we entered the season with a lockout will Goodell be taking a $1 salary this year like he promised he would during the players lockout?

If they are fined for those tweets, I would sue the league. This is the United States of America. There is freedom of speech in this country. They were not on NFL time. They can say whatever the hell they want.

I am starting to hate the NFL.

I think if he gets fined it’s extremely harsh.

He was chasing after a ref to get an explanation (which he is entitled to) of why there was no review of the FG (especially if the refs are not upto scratch they could have missed a potnetially game changing challenge). The ref ignored him which by any anybody's standards was extremely rude. He did what anybody would do in a situation where you are being ignored by somebody, was touch him to get his attention. Calling it a "grab" seems a bit far fetched as, as soon as he touched him and he relized he was getting no response, he let go.

I didn't see it as anyway violent or aggressive but a normal reaction to being ignored. He looked very confused at what was going on.

Unfortunately he is going to be made an example of, to keep this farce going.

Even harsher was that Harbaugh's constant berating of the refs after the warranted Ngata personal foul on Brady resulted in two ridiculous calls on Gronk and Edelman on the same drive. Belichick seemed quiet reserved in comparison to Harbaugh throughout the game.

Players and coaches can touch officials. How is the league going to divine intent there?

If they fine BB, the entire Kraft organization should go after Goodells job stating how incompetent he is and not fit to be the commish.

This is just another witch hunt with the NEP......:mad:

All the fine money should go to getting the refs back

Yeah, exactly. The ref is some dimwit completely over his head and he's charging off the field ignoring a coach who's understandably pissed he's got to deal with these morons. And the ref ignores him? Please. And I love Collingsworth: "I can't believe Bill Belichick just did that." Said as though BB cold-****ed the ref.

MEDIA = Pieces of trash.

The savings from using the scabs goes to the billionaire owners while the expense is to the players. Not just the fines but possibly losing a career and health to the uncontrolled play.

Thanks Bob Kraft, glad you will have a few more bucks to give to Romney.

Collinsworth is a douchebag who hates the Patriots. I don't like when the Pats are on Sundays, because I absolutely can't stand him. He seemed to be vocal about calls against the Ravens, but when the Pats got jobbed it would be just "I don't know about that one.

If BB is fined, I think that we as fans can donate a couple of bucks each to pay it. But if BB is fined Harbaugh should be too. He was running onto the field and intimidating the refs all day. I think that the reason that the refs ignored BB is that they were scared to be in Baltimore and wanted to get out alive. They were wrong to do that, thay should at least have given him an explanation.

At this point I want the players, the coaches, or both to actually go out on strike until the referee dispute is settled.

It won't happen, but Goodell needs some sort of crisis to drive him settle this, because us addicts obviously will not stop watching.

I would love to see that happen, but it wont. If the players walked out because of this it would be glorious.

Goody released a memo last week telling the players and coaches to lay off criticizing the officials. IMO he knows how bad they look and when the players and coaches say something it doesn't look good, the public perception is that the these guys are doing a lousy job and the regular reffs need to be brought back. That being said it would only make it worse if BB were suspended. He was asking the reff for and explanation and the reff was ignoring him. At that point BB grabbed his arm.

The NFL is turning into the WWE where its more entertainment and not much reality and the refs are portraying a heel character.
