Surprising Bruschi interview regarding Wes Welker situation

Tedy on The Herd Tedy Bruschi, NFL - ESPN with some surprisingly revealing opinions about the Welker situation.

I thought his comments on Eli, the Bucs, 'Boys and several other issues were some of the best I've heard yet. He really seems to be a great analyst.

Don't listen if you don't want to know who he really wants to be "his team's" QB.
Hint - it's not a guy named Tom.

Thank you. Have to agree, at this point, Eli is more clutch, money or whatever you want to call him. But when you need "the throw", Eli is now much more likely to give it to you than Tom.

More like Manning's receivers are more likely to hold on to the ball and make spectacular catches to barely win games against horrible defenses. If Caldwell, Meriweather and Welker simply caught the balls going through their hands, Brady likely has 6 trophies, in each game he put them in a position to win and his teammates came up short, as opposed to Manningham and Tyree who made tremendous plays.

More like Manning's receivers are more likely to hold on to the ball and make spectacular catches to barely win games against horrible defenses. If Caldwell, Meriweather and Welker simply caught the balls going through their hands, Brady likely has 6 trophies, in each game he put them in a position to win and his teammates came up short, as opposed to Manningham and Tyree who made tremendous plays.

No offense but the 07 offense scored 14 points in the Super Bowl after averaging 35.6(including playoffs). Brady and the offense got completely outplayed.

In last year Brady had a bad safety on the Pats first play and a horrible interception. To just blame it on dropped passes is completely incorrect.

07 team was a very good defense

First, inanimate events (super bowls) are incapable of agreement or disagreement. Second, if memory serves me correctly, January of 2006 is a month Brady and NE would rather forget. Finally, Eli has certainly performed tremendously during the Giants last 2 SB games. But his interception rate (which was the thrust of my point) is significant. Plus, he often goes multiple years without getting his teams to the playoffs, let alone the SB.

The last Super Bowl he made some clutch passes. Not the first one though.

He absolutely made some clutch throws and his receivers made some clutch catches. With the game on the line, Patriot players have not come up clutch.

I used to feel that way…but since I cheer for a team whose Dynasty was born from the tuck rule, I stopped saying "should have."

I have sit her for the past 7 minutes trying to recall "clutch throws" by Brady and I am at a loss. I know my memory is not that bad and I've watched pretty much every televised Patriots game. Can anyone help me out? It's late and maybe I'm tired.
