How well do the Patriots fare in games following a loss?
By: Ryan Hannable

Just how well do the Patriots respond after losses and how this game reminds me of the Steelers game in 2010 in which the Patriots won. ...

Everybody and their mother thinks that the Ravens are going to be very angry and foaming at the mouth to get on the field and prove themselves. But it seems that whenever the mass media spends the entire week dragging this organization through the mud is when they come out with pin point execution and also when they're at their angriest and best.

2010, the team looks terrible in all three phases in a loss to Cleveland. Enter ESPN and the like for a week questioning whether the organization is on it's way out. One week later, in front of a national audience, Pittsburgh gets their lunch handed to them. 2011, the team loses two straight for the first time in God knows how long. Enter ESPN and the like for a week questioning whether the organization is on it's way out. One week later, in front of a national audience, the Jets get embarrassed. The more that this team makes controversial headlines this week, the more confident I'm starting to become that we can pull this out and end the Ravens' home winning streak. It all comes down to the trenches.

Why are there two threads about this article?

I don't think this means much this year. The Patriots have already bucked the trend by losing their home opener.

Has anyone else seen the commecial for the game? All about redemption for the ravens...they are building that card

I expect laser-sharp focus from the Pats on Sunday night.

Without Suggs I don't think they will slow us down, and it's the first time in many years I felt we had a run defense that can contain Ray Rice if we make that a priority.

Different team, younger players, different coaching staff than the previous years.....

What they did previously after a loss means NOTHING.....nada

Whoever comes to play and plays better sunday night will win.

The key here is how the younger players will perform after their first NFL defeat.

Looking back at the Schedule i penciled this game as possible loss...but i thought we would have steamed roll the Cardinals...thanks Ghost!:snob:

When is the last time they played a team that has won 20 of the last 21 games at home?

Better than their fans fare (and post!) during the week following a loss, for sure.
