Nonsense, and more nonsense - forum overreaction to Arizona loss

It's just a mass migration from Son's of Sam Horn because their team is so far gone they need to piss and moan about something that matters. :D

I must say I don't remember this board ever getting so Unreadable.

Sure there have been losses before, including unexpected upsets. But now BB is a "douch", and "coaching his worst game ever".

There is a full blown Conspiracy Theory from more than one hyper-agitated fan "to prevent Welker from catching passes".

There is some fan who proclaims and others concur, "use Daniel Fells or cut him". Doesn't any one know we have two types of TEs? Fells is a backup for a blocking Gronk type TE. Shiancoe, who is presently on retrievable IR, was/is the backup for pass catching TE Ahern. Thus the temporary, (and probably futile) KWII headcase signing. Headcases take time to screw up a team and themselves. BB belieives he is probably safe for 6-8 games.

No BB was not "stupid not to make plans" for TE depth. He certainly did make provisional plans to withstand both types of TE injury. Shiancoe, Fells, Ballard Hoomanamaneui...

BB suddenly can't make "appropriate personnel decisions". Very seldom has BB let talent slip through his fingers. Particulary when it comes to old veterans who are losing it. Our old familiar recievers are indeed probably done; and Fans are NOT the true judges of talent.

Notice that no other team picked up Gaffney or Branch, although a few kicked the tires, as proof.

Edelman is a valuable PR, demonstrating elusiveness, superior quickness and speed, the best we have, (without Demps), and a league leader in his specialty. They are trying to convert this ex-QB to a WR, and it takes a few years. He is NOT "trash who should be cut", summarily.

it is a canard, that "BB is cheap". No one has signed Andre Carter yet. He is just not healthy enough. Advanced Folger-itis is everywhere, but worse believed, implicitely.

It is a canard, that "BB is cheap". Waters was under contract, and even offered a big raise to return. He just wants to retire. Advanced Folger-itis is everywhere, but worse believed, implicitely. The Pats did NOT offer him a paycut.

BB is trying to get a jump on developing a next generation of WRs. Greg Salas was an inexpensive attempt to do so, at the end of the roster. It is a canard that "BB was stupid to 'waste' a 2015 7th rounder".

Finally, if Gostkowski fifth FG attempt had been accurate, or if the go ahead TD had not been called back, or if the 2-point conversion worked, none of these Bull Patties would have been written, including this one.

So just how valid is any of this... tripe? :snob:

I welcome all the new posters, but please get a clue. ;)

I RARELY..if ever post. But bravo Sir. BRAVO! :)

This is why I never come on this board after a loss. Too many chicken littles.

I can't imagine what it would be like when BB and TB retire. Two things could happen. 1) This board becomes like JI or 2) This board only has true fans as the rest becomes Packers fans.

Oh btw, it's only a game. :)

Impressive that you can actually post this without actually coming to this board this week. You should take your act to Vegas. :D

My buddy, and I were discussing this earlier today.. If folks are on suicide watch for lil ole welker ... imagine what is gonna happen when BB starts to flip the switch on Brady? Mass Suicides all over the New England region ..

I shd have added the few days after a loss.. lol. I love my Patriots too much to stay away for too long. :)

Wow, excellent point. The CL brigade is going to be unstoppable for months on end when that inevitable less/no TB time comes.

All message boards get crazy after a shock loss. Its no surprise to me that the board has been crazy all week. Just get through it or don't log on for the week. All will return to normal after they beat the Ravens on Sunday night.:)

I hope it never comes to that. I hope they go together. Preferably after a SB win. A fitting end to our demigods.

We have the Brian Waters thread this time now too with some irrational and unfound hatred to the front office that seems to be something out of their control. That isn't typically here after a loss.

I concur. This time around the vibe is one of much more conspicuous hatred. Tough to read, however, a messageboard is, in part, for venting. I'm just largely skipping it (as discussions with someone posting from such an emotional POV is largely pointless)....

I prefer the chaos to be honest. It makes for much more interesting threads.

AZPatsFan,

You've been around this board for a long time. You should know better! The stupidity here is palpable and the reality is that for every smart poster, there are 10-15 who really should be watching and posting on wrestling boards. Blame the unbelievable success of the team where a significant number of posters think a 16-0 seson is in the cards every year to the explosion of fantasy football and the grudges that posters hold against players who "let them down" week to week. Yes, moreso now than ever, you have to sift through piles of feces to get to the smart insightful posts. But when you do finally hit gold, the nuggets are often smarter and better crafted than the much of the local and national mediots who get paid to cover the team churn out week to week.
It's the prosecting and finding of the gold every so often that keeps us comimg back.

and you provided a perfect example of an unreadable post

I got 3 lines in when an owerwhelming urge to be disinterested crushed my desire to read the rest of it
Try Ritalin...

you aver watch marc wilson play QB for the pats? how about hugh millen?
Funny you should mention those guys. I thought of Scott Secules, Parcells' binky, today. He thought Secules was the legit heir apparent to Marino in Miami and just had to have him. He sucked worse than Millen and Wilson combined.

Don't forget the touching story of Zeke Mowatt and his naked ambitions.

I think this is a great posting, and I think that your optimism should provide a good example to some before belly aching.

I think that many of the comments are on the silly side, but there are however a couple/few concerns that can be discussed with respect that don't necessarily have to be optimistic.

There does seem to be a lack of chemistry on the offensive side of the ball that has been there throughout training camp, as many practices did not really show the offense in a good light.

That has carried over into the regular season, and the inability to properly execute on many, many levels on Sunday is what is bringing out the concern for many posters.

This 2012 team is still very much in a growing phase, as many BB coached teams are in the beginning/middle of a season. Hopefully they can get through some growing pains and make some serious progress.

In the meantime, 1-2 without Hernandez and the next 5 games being:

AT Buffalo

VS Denver in primetime

AT Seattle

VS the NYJ

AT London vs a better defensive STL team

is looking like it may be what we have to deal with until the team grows through its offensive struggles.

Hopefully the defense can continue to play strong in the meantime.

Either way, this 2012 Patriot team will be a very good competitor.

Zeke's story was that he couldn't find anyone interested in touching...

Part of the problem is that there are dimwits here who can't wait for both of those retirement dates.

What concerns me is the possibility that this is the new "normal."
