I was just listening to Solomon Wilcots who was saying that right after the game he came over to Bill to ask some questions about losing an 18 point lead and also about the fatigue factor of his defense and he said not only himself but back in the CBS studio Marino,Boomer were laughing and shocked at the way Belichick acted,They said he was almost whining and childish and for most of the conversation sounded like he was at the Dentist getting his teeth pulled because he was mumbling so bad you could not tell what he was saying and was like ahhgahhgahhmmmahhh.

Solomon and the CBS guys said that it was the most unusual interview held by a losing coach in all the years since he and CBS reporters have been doing interviews of losing coaches in the big games.

Did anyone see this and was Bill really talking like he had a dentists drill in his mouth like they claim and was he acting like a child who did not get his way ?

I heard the Real Postgame Show guys talking about it, but I never saw anything about it. I'd like to see a video as well...

I saw it. Wilcots's questions were longer than BB's answers basically.

He asked him about being in the lead, coming back out at halftime and into the 3rd qtr with momentum, blah blah blah, and blowing the lead in the 4th qtr and BB simply responded "The Colts made plays to win the game." Or something really simple and short like that. Wilcots was stunned and sort of stumbled and then asked another long question... you can guess it, BB replied with another short and simple answer. Wilcots sent it back to the NFL Today and Marino said "What was that?" Boomer said, "Man," in disgust. They were laughing and that was it.

So what if they don't like him though? That's why they're in the studio while BB's coaching teams deep into the playoffs each season.

So Belichick doesn't give a good interview after a loss - shocking.

"Shocking?" Did he show the interviewer his di*k in a box, or something?

He could try and be a little more accomodating-these TV Networks are helping pay his large salary after all.

It wouldn't have killed him to not act like a moron.

Who the F would be "stunned" in that, or any, interview situation with BB??? What planet do they live on???

I think you missed the sarcasm my friend:p

Act like a moron? If somebody asked me about my thoughts 10 minutes after that loss I would've told them to f--- off.

I'd hope if you were ever in that situation you'd have a little more maturity than that.

This man represents my team-I think he could take a tiny bit of his obvious brilliance and at least make a coherent response.

Um, I understood him perfectly. He is what he is, and he was reeling from a very bad loss, but still took a few moments to answer the reporter's inane questions. Sorry, Dan Marino didn't know what that was cause he had exactly one bad loss and it was sooo far back in his career I'm sure he can't remember what it is like to lose a championship.
Give me a coach who cares over a "oh well we tried" coach any day of the week.

That's silly. The guy was asked, were your players fatigued by the flu, is that why they lost? What do you want him to say? "Yes, that's why. The Colts sucked when we still had energy, but when the flu weakness kicked in, they came back."

Come on, he actually answered it with class. You want him to answer a lame stupid question like that honestly?

Maturity?? What do you want him to do, sing a song? I was actually really surprised when I watched the link (thanks, by the way), he was perfectly polite and even said "you're welcome" when it was done. It's not like that usually happens...

This is destined to become another LT style story which crap all over BB just because he's been a) different than the mould and b) successful.

What wasn't coherent about it? He answered the questions he just didn't go into details. Do you want a coach who gives excellent speeches after a playoff loss? I've got one for you - Herman Edwards.

Like patsox said, it was stupid of Wilcots to even attempt that interview.

I don't see the issue. that is classic BB. he has standard answers for everything.

By the way, Belichick was just on WEEI and he was taking the loss incredibly hard there as well, but since the questioners asked REAL questions, he was very forthcoming, and gave an actual response to that question. He even made some very funny jokes, but he talked about how spent the team was. That after words, they weren't angry, they were so tired they couldn't even feel disappointment. He also said that going to the Pro Bowl next week is the thrill of a lifetime, get it?

Please get off his back with this stuff.
