Mistakes abound in Patriots loss to Cardinals

interesting he seems to suggest that JMcD is having brady force the ball to lloyd and when given latitude to call the plays in the 2min brady never went to lloyd.

Could be a reason behind it like trying to open up the field/defense more.

It also could be coincidence that Brady didn't find him in the 2 min drill, or that he was properly covered/others were more open at the time.

Or it could also mean that they just aren't on the same page, or that Llyod lacks Brady's trust at this current juncture too, which may be the more likely reason right now.

Or it could be the other thing I just mentioned in the other thread, trying to force Brady out of his comfort zone and into justifying an OC agenda. Take away Branch. Take away Welker. Tell what's his name the GOAT to throw the damn ball to the guys we sign... Josh has spent the last 3 years working with JAGS and potential franchise QB's, and without much success I might add. Maybe the homecoming was a little too stilted. Conquering hero returns as opposed to guy who fell flat on his face returning. I hope Bill didn't choose between his protoges and choose wrong.

I certainly hope that isn't the case, Mo, but anything's possible.

I suppose we'll find out more in the next game.

Something's off, that's for sure.

I am sick of Brady being "not on the same page" with a wide receiver. No other qb in the league seems to have that issue with talented receivers. If that is the case then I am glad mcdaniels is making him keep throwing the ball to Lloyd until the get on the same bloody page.

I see what you did in this threads title :D

ST to blame as much as any phase of game. D did it's job....O did just enough tho not what they are expected to do with a loaded lineup like they have......
Blocked punt and missed FG was giving 7 to Cards and taking 3 from Pats....

Looking at the stat sheet you'd have thought the Pats won handily.

Just so long as nothing is ever the fault of BB or Brady.

He should keep getting the ball to Lloyd, or get rid of him. they aren't going to develop chemistry because he keeps forcing it to a double covered Welker (last week) or to Woodhead.

There were big plays to be had if those two were on the same page and you have to be able put up with some struggles to get to a harmonic result.

Hopefully, they use Welker a lot more next week, but the plan obviously was built around Hernandez and Lloyd. Welker, obviously, isn't running the same plays from multiple positions Lloyd was.

Also, I think it's worth restating that, Arizona's defense in that game looked great. I'm happy as hell with our improvement, but there defense, at least the way it looked yesterday, is much better than ours.

We could be as good front seven, but i don't think we're as good in the secondary in the near future. that's not a knock on us, they are looking ready to go right now IMO.

Of course, I could be way off, but it didn't look like they were playing over their heads, or lucky.

I don't disagree with you... But I also can't help but wonder how often Brady's play calling in past seasons has become so predictable over the course of a season that by the time the playoffs and Super Bowl come around its much easier to defend.

I don't know if that's Brady or the OC - and we may never know. But I suspect that Brady has his preferred receivers and is guilty of trying to force throws even when others may be more open.

Usually even Brady's forced throws into extra coverage STILL work so I temper that criticism.

But it can and does catch up with Brady and there are times when an OC watching from the booth or sidelines can see things the QB on the field cannot.

In other words, if Brady's comfort zone is to look primarilly at one of his "binkies" when the game is on the line and DCs know this, then he has to be forced out of that comfort zone for his own good.
