Last time ravens lost back to back IIRC was in 09. So they play well after a loss just like the pats..should be interesting. Wish is was at gillete however

Like in all cases of top teams in the same conference, when they clash ....90% of the teams that win these games are teams that win the LOS

The battle of the trenches will decide this game....not Brady, not Flacco per say.

Scary thing is that Baltimore is arguably better on their DL but definately better with thier OL,so advantage goes to Baltimore......on paper.

which is why this game could decided #1 or #2 seed at the end of the year..a bye or no bye ect

houston will be another one of these games

If another star player doesn't go down by the Houston game, then Aaron will be back,we will be at home and feeling a bit better about that game then this weeks one,I guarantee you.

It's rare when a Belichick/Brady team goes below .500.......those chances of it look scary good this weekend.

but out of 3 games below .500 isn't panic mode...if they are .500 at week 10 then yes...panic. But after balt the schedule does get easier. So a 1-2 start shouldn't panic you although the board will have 43 dumb threads if they lose sunday and the jets win (which they will)leading the division. But leading the division after 3 games means nothing but their fan base will say otherwise.

I was just over at the ravens forum...some are confident..but others not really

No suggs...and maybe no pollard? We know no AH. Hopefully more welker sunday night

If we come out, spread the field, hurry up offense and stop trying to change who we are, then I like our chances. We now have a defense that we've all been asking for who can get off the field and give our offense more possessions, why change up? Very silly IMO.

We need a big game from ridley in order to win i think

Our running game does well when defenses are anticipating a pass. We still don't have the OL that can open up holes when defenses know we are going to run. That was evident today. We just don't have those types of guys. I think it's silly to try to force them into becoming that kind of unit.

The offense we've been running the past few years has run roughshod against almost everyone in the league. We lost games not because of our offense, but because our defense couldn't get off the field. Now that we have a D that can give our O more opportunity, why change what worked on O?

This is a gamble that is unnecessary.

I think they need more Welker and Gronk to win.

If you want to deflate a good defense like Baltimore you give it your best shot and make them respect you with the run...The way to beat a good defense is to use clock and tire them out and Ridley needs a 100 yard game if the Pats are going to win in Baltimore.

With that being said the same is for the Ravens...it's going to be Ray Rice run after run until they stop him and in the past that's been hard to do.

Expect a quick game and a lower score if both teams run well.

Ravens seem to have the bloodthirsty motivation to annihilate a team that's constantly edged them in the past. However, I recall hearing the same thing two years ago when we were coming off a loss to Cleveland and heading to Pittsburgh. And then there was last year, coming off that bad stretch and playing the Jets in NY. Pats seem to respond well to these types of games where people think they're "vulnerable."

Wouldn't be the worst thing to start 1-2, get a reality check, and fall out of grace in everyone's power rankings and hype. Just once I'd love to see the Pats fly under the radar. They clearly have the talent to still end up with the Division Crown and bye even with the loss. We will learn a lot about our offensive line and front seven after next Sunday. Ravens favored by 2.5-3 at the moment.

Pats need to figure out who they are offensively. Are they the elite offense that has shown up so many times over the last few years, or are they the new depressed, identity-crisis, cautious offense that we've seen the last two weeks? Yes, I believe that even during the Titans game, we saw plenty of hesitation and confusion out there. They are tight and need to loosen up.

Brady has struggled vs the Ravens D in the past and hasnt had his best games . Not to mention its a very tough place to play.We really need a defensive gem and possible defensive score to win this.

hurry up and spread all sounds good but our oline has been suspect this season. could really blow up in our face with this pass protection if we spread the field .

Brady has been pretty mediocre against Baltimore and even arguably his worst game in 2007 came against the Ravens in the 18-1 season.

Since Brady historically has been less than stellar against Ray Lewis and Ed Reed and co. AND on top of that his OL is highly suspect AND the fact that Ridley is the most talented RB behind him since Dillon tells me McDaniels needs to set the game plan to run then pass and not vice versa.

It needs to be a game that the offense grinds the clock...Brady is not going to beat the Ravens throwing 35 times next weekend.

Brady gets rid of the ball quick enough to avoid getting hit/sacked. There aren't a lot of defenses out there with enough DBs to cover all of our guys one-on-one effectively.

You saw it today when we went hurry up. We moved the ball easily.

Brady is our best weapon. Brady's strength is reading defenses and getting rid of the ball quickly, accurately, and to the right person. Why we are straying away from this is silly.

Brady typically struggles against top defenses like the one he had yesterday and the one he will see on this Sunday night.

However Brady has not had the talent behind him like he has with Ridley who is by far the best looking RB in NE since Dillon so maybe it's time to spread the run vs pass a bit closer and less on Brady carrying the team.......that's one of the reasons Brady and co. has come close but has not won a title since 2004.... He has had little to no running game,I think he has one now.

Any decent running game and the Pats would have won at LEAST one of those Super Bowls against NY.

I wouldn't say he typically struggles against top defenses. He's had his share of good ones and bad ones against the Jets, usually shreds the Steelers, and generally plays very well against all competition. To us, he struggles. To most teams, his stat line and overall play is much better than their QB does against an elite defense.

The Ravens is quite another story, though. Although statistically, they are similar to the Steelers, their style is very difficult for our offense. We seem to get our 20-24 points against them, but it always comes with grinding out every yard. You can't just "spread them out" like the Steelers because they are too fast and athletic.

Just realizing that our schedule this year faces some brutal defenses: Jets twice, Dolphins twice, Bills twice (not sure where they will be), Ravens, Cardinals, 49ers, Texans. Seahawks and Broncos might be decent as well. I think by the end of the year, no one will be talking about a "cakewalk schedule" any more.

But after balt the schedule does get easier.

Not to be argumentative, but it doesn't get that much easier, at least not immediately anyway.

Week 3 AT Baltimore

Week 4 AT Buffalo

Week 5 vs Denver

Week 6 AT Seattle

Week 7 vs NYJ

Week 8 AT London against STL

It looks to me like there is a lot of traveling, with only 2 home games before the week 9 bye, and those are at home vs DEN and the NYJ, both of whom can be quite challenging to the best of TFB/NE teams.

I'm not saying that anyone should panic, but I'm not sure if I would take a lot of comfort that the schedule will allow us much of a growth period either.
