Offense let us down ......AGAIN

Spin it anyway you want.
They cost us the last 2 SB's and today's game.
Score 20pts and we win.

Lets hear it.......................

Re: Offense let us down ......AGAIN

Woodhead ******* won the game!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Offense let us down ......AGAIN

I never want to blame the refs but damn, that wasn't a hold on Gronk for what would of potentially been the game winning TD...

You listed three games spanning 5 years. I don't see your point. The offense was bad today.

Re: Offense let us down ......AGAIN

i did not get to see the game but the stats say that brady throw for over 300 they ran over 100 so they did not play that bad from the highlights i seen it was just a few bad plays like a blocked punt and a missed FG

Re: Offense let us down ......AGAIN

News flash: Even with an incredible offense, occasionally they have bad games. Yeah the offense was bad today, but we lost our second best offensive threat in the first quarter and never had any rhythm. But it happens

That doesn't come close to telling the story. It was brutal.

Wake up call

Hopefully its a good wake up call. 1st home opener loss at that stadium. Ouch

Think they will lose next week but pick it up after then. Dont jump off bridges people!

Re: Offense let us down ......AGAIN

Really. I challenge anyone to tell me when Gostkowski had to kick a game winning field goal?
He has never been tested.

Yeah, those stats are misleading. Anyone watching the offense could see it was out of sync. No rhythm, receivers couldn't get open, and the offense failed on some big third downs

Re: Offense let us down ......AGAIN

You want to biatch at someone biatch at the builders. They built an offense that now can't withstand the loss of one TE. Although we got lots of them on IR just like we got lots of intriguing inactives. Josh needs to get over himself. He's determined to reinvent a wheel that wasn't broken, just needed couple of bearings replaced. Hopefully they got to Deion before he flew home. Not to mention have a call in to Waters. Too bad that new short term IR designation isn't available.

Re: Offense let us down ......AGAIN

I am starting to wonder if Brady( and I love him like the rest of you) is starting to lose "it".

Re: Offense let us down ......AGAIN

Is our defense really better than our offense? :) :( :bricks:

Re: Wake up call

why does everyone think they will lose next week? theres just as good a chance that they win...every week is different I doubt the offense plays this horrible again

I think we need to make a thread for this and discuss it further.

that sucks but at lest its only week 2 vs a NFC team lets hope they play better vs the ravens

I agree. I see today as a necessary event. But nothing to jump over. Overall several positives to take away from the game.

1. The defense is a dominate unit that is capable of stepping up and making game changing plays.
2. Chandler Jones is going to be a force that we have not had in close to a decade.
3. Devin McCourty is playing at the level of a true #1 CB.
4. Steven Ridley is for real 2 weeks in a row he has shown up.
5. Tavon Wilson is a play maker.

I think the problem is with are passing game. We need to bring back Gaffney and/or Branch. Are passing game is to reliant on the middle of the field.

We need to get are offensive line in order. Pay Waters what he wants. We have serious issues with pressure up the middle.

These problems are all fixable. I see this lose as eye opening for BB and JM. We seem to be struggling with attempting to create a new offensive identity and that is highlighted in this loss.

I would expect some roster moves on the offensive side of the ball this week.

This is all true. A lot of the off season roster moves by Belichick have been suspect. Not just acquisitions, the way the players and positions on the roster have been managed. It is like he and josh were trying to fix something that wasn't broken. Hernandez probably gone for the year, Shancoe gone until midseason, hootnani #47 is awful, and fells is still hurt.

Funny, no depth at tight end ended the season last year and bill isn't even smart enough to fix that for this year. It does seem he tried, but a familiar outcome occurred for him lately, he failed.
