LaRon Landry not a fan of Bill Belichick, Mike Shanahan | ProFootballTalk

In a wide-ranging profile of Landry by Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, Landry says that he considered signing with the Patriots when he became a free agent this offseason, but he was put off by the fact that head coach Bill Belichick didn’t show up when Landry visited New England.

“He wasn’t even there,” Landry said. “So that was a no-brainer. I should have never taken that visit. I was like, ‘Damn, if you’re going to visit, the head coach [should be] there.’ I felt, ‘Okay, that’s a slap in the face.’”

What he doesnt know is BB was the pilot of the plane which flew him out of NE and into NY :D

Hmm, Belichick met with Tebow when he visited, even took him out to dinner. Guess you're just not that important, LaRon.

this reminds me of that story (from Education of a Coach maybe?) about the draft prospect who started complaining that when he visited the Pats didn't fly him in first class. Talk about not getting it Landry, no wonder you've been such a hit with the Jets.

Laron Landry: BB Slapped Me In The Face

Oh, no, another angry Jets player! Another Jets player that hates Belichick!

Beyond his slap in the face, Landry says of his visit to NE Landry, "“He (BB) wasn’t even there,” Landry says. “So that was a no-brainer. I should have never taken that visit. I was like, ‘Damn, if you’re going to visit, the head coach (should be) there..."

You should have never taken the visit Laron? Evidently BB was thinking the same thing.

For entertainment you must read this Landry piece, which includes up top, and I'm not kidding..."He is an action hero come to life, half-man, half-Mad Max. The football field is his Thunderdome." Wonder no more about why the Jets are so messed up.

you obviously weren't worth his time jackass.

There's something about putting on green and white that automatically transforms a person into a loud mouthed idiot.

Any safety worth his salt would have gotten a five star meal at the Ground Round with Bill.

I bet Rex kissed Landry's feet when he came for a visit.

u mean something like this ??

Can't we just assume that anyone in a Jets uniform is not a fan of anyone in a pats uniform. That is until they need a job.

Sounds like LaRon.

Duh, Laron, Duuuuhhhhhhh.

Did it ever dawn on you that if BB wasn't even around when you visited that they had NO INTENTION of signing you in the first place and that the only reason they invited you out was in scaring the Jets to raise their offer?

Just another instance of the Patriots completely owning the New York Jets.

Woody Johnson is just a front. :D

But we didn't select Tebow either! I still think that was a ploy to get another team to overdraft him (McDaniels ahem). If BB didn't show up was that also a ploy to get the Jets to sign him?

As far as FA visits go I was thinking more along the line of Rodney. When Harrison visited here BB took him personally to the Ground Round. I guess Landry thought that was the process for all safeties coming to NE.

LaRon.... French for "The Ron".

What the hell is "The Ron"? Nobody knows, and nobody cares.

if you guys find landry to feel disrespected that bill wasnt at the meeting i dont know what to tell you guys.

of course when a free agent visits he wants to meet with the head coach.

should landry keep his mouth shut? yeah. but he is telling the blunt truth, which is a head coach should meet with a free agent.

not really a big deal to get all upset though.
