James was a good player here for 6 years, but I can't remember too many games where I was really super glad he played safety for us.

It appears he might have some hard feelings remaining from being released and wants to show up how wrong it was

If Sanders ends up doing something that ends up being the real reason we lose this game I will really start to worry

Maybe Sanders doesn't get roasted by Manningham who knows. What we do know is he's better than Ihedigbo,Barrett, and Sergio Brown. Always like Sanders solid player and will never forget this play James Sanders Seals Patriots Win - YouTube

Against Gronkowski and Hernandez is probably not the best situation to prove his worth.

It was a mistake, at least for last year. He was better than all our safeties except Chung last year.

Sorry but that was a hell of a catch as well. He doesn't make that...colts would have won that game

It's a decent catch. I think people do overrate him heavily. He left us and did next to nothing.

Will he do that if he faces the Falcons, 'cause they let him go too. Whatever it takes to motivate yourself...

He was a good guy and he served a limited purpose at times of necessity. He showed up in less than ideal shape in 2011 and he didn't have the kind of talent margin to survive that. He also seemed to be a little out of sorts about usage in light of his contract. Bill seldom compounds an error.

He should have proved BB wrong while he was here ...

But he didn't - so who cares.

Agreed.

I know that some players use perceived (or real) slights against them to try and gain an advantage, to build themselves up to a higher level of energy and desire.

However, it has been my experience that real pros do so quietly, without all the thud & blunder, and without having to let everyone around them know about it.

If it's a personal slight, deal with it personally. It makes any real revenge that much sweeter.

Has Belichick ever let anyone go and really regretted it? When they leave here, their careers go downhill.

He is being ridiculous and the whole idea of him being anything other than a depth safety who was forced into a starting role, playing adequately and subsequently being moved off the roster as Belichick continued the process of rebuilding the D on the fly is the stuff of B grade fiction.

Ted Larcen said Hi....So does this weeks opponents ILB Paris Lenon.

He has let a few go that worked out for them but it's not the norm.

Ted and Paris who?

Ted and Paris who?

Ted is starting OL for the Bucs ( we could use him as depth now )

Paris is starting LB for the Cards and had a nice game last week...2 sacks,9 tackles

Didn't Mike Smith choose not to retain him last? I would of thought last season would of been the year for Sanders to prove BB wrong.

Why are we taking quotes from depth safeties that have not played a game for us since 2010 anyway.

I'll never forget Paris getting juked by that QB in the preseaon. He bought it so bad the QB could have run underneath him into the endzone. He was really too small to play here, but I'm glad he was able to find success elsewhere.

Sanders could of played here if he didn't make so much money. He was a cap causality, but probably would have been worth keeping knowing what we know now about Brown and Barrett.

Sanders was a decent bottom of the rotation player who was smarter than he was good. When he was forced to play significant time in the secondary, he became a liability in coverage. His paycheck was the difference between him and Ihedigbu. Lets not also forget that he's now washed out of TWO programs, not just ours.

I wish him well, but this "proving us wrong" crap is rather disappointing.

I honestly had to look up where he played, but the Cards makes sense this week...anyway, a football player wants to prove all his doubters wrong! news at 11!
