A great listen if you can put it on in the car or in the background of your office. Reminiscing (sp?) about their years with the Pats. Hearing lots of names of players, coaches & plays that you haven't thought about in years.

Also, it's really nice for me, as a fan, that Drew Bledsoe is truly back in the Patriots family in the last few years after his painful "breakup" with the team back in 2001-02.

Enjoy your Friday!!

That was..........Awesome.

They had me dying when they told a story about Chris Canty. Zolak and Troy were playing scout team and would go out in practice and torch Canty so bad Carrol asked them to stop because they killed his confidence.

I was laughing at that one too. They also were (in a good natured way) making fun of Vincent Brisby, who sounds like he had not been to the "big city" until he was drafted by the Pats. He thought filet minon was a fish...LOL.

Troy Brown was hilarious too impersonating various coaches.

Oh yeah when they were mimicing Zampese I was rolling too.

That was some of the best sports talk radio I have ever heard.

If I were the Hub I would create a new hour of radio called flashback fridays and bring on a different group of retired sports icons. Doesnt just have to be Pats though that makes me the happiest. having a group of guys like that who were so close as players to talk about the times off old was excellent.

Remember he who laughs last...

Who here knew that Chris Canty would bulk up bigtime and become a solid contributor for Dallas and the Giants?

Hmmm. I think it was more drastic than that - maybe a true life "Body Snatchers." ;)

Different Chris. Canty?

I stood on the field next to the Pats' Canty. I was 5' 9" and 185. Canty was a much shorter, thin, stick legged scrawny guy. Seeing Canty standing next to Ty Law who was big and wicked buffed was jaw dropping.

Kevin Faulk was another short guy but pretty big and muscular.

replay is here.

Thanks for the post.

They danced around the question i've had for 16 years now. Troy talked a little about the end of the 96 season and how he was catching passes at the end of the a season ['i caught 24 passes that season - I think all in the last 4 games'].

I still remember the day (thur or fri) before the SB when they announced the inactives and Troy was on the list. That is when I knew the tuna was tubing the game.

with both Bledsoe and troy in the room; I would have loved to get drew's reaction to that decision and troys thoughts about what he might have been able to help do.

water under the bridge. but would like to know.

Ah yes - the Bobby Grier era.

The Rod Rust of Patriots GMs - but then again, he was the one to reach out to Brady's coach before the 2000 draft.
