New NFL Power Rankings Out; New Team Included

Some teams are in for a rude awakening this week, if they haven't had one already....

So #13 is Tebow, but where does he have the Jets ranked?

For what it's worth (not much; these are power rankings after all) here is the opinion from an Arizona newspaper. Their top five is the Pats, Ravens, 49ers, Packers and Eagles; they place the Cardinals at #19.

Arizona Cardinals: Enjoy it while it lasts, Cardinals fans. I had to wrestle with moving the Cardinals this high in the first place after escaping with a 20-16 victory at home over Seattle. But now they have to travel to New England, which never seems to go well for the local boys.

Why is the name of #13 team the backup QB/personal protector? Am I missing something here?

#2 New England Edelman's

Pats at #2. Check out #13.
What's scary about Griffin is that he has a capable team around him, and he himself was pretty ready for the NFL.

And what a great story for the undefeated Niners to visit the undefeated Patriots during week umpteen. Tell me that wouldn't get the TV ratings. Too much to wish for?

That's the sideshow that Tebow has become. He's a carnie in the NFL.

God, they played terrible football.

Both teams played terrible football, only the Bears played even MORE terrible.
I actually wonder if the Packers will drop if there's a few good performances from teams below them this sunday.

But wow, the Bears, WTF.

Really gotta be one huge bummer across the Windy City tonight.

It's hard to say the Bears more Jay Cutler played terrible football. The Defense kept hanging in there.

I don't even think we can lay the blame on Cutler. I mean, i'm not sure I saw a single down where the pocket didn't just immediately collapse. Chicago's offensive line is terrible.

I'd rather have decent receivers and an amazing offensive line than amazing receivers and swiss cheese for an offensive line. That and I really think the Bears need to fire their head coach after this season. They aren't going to go anywhere with him.

Watching the Bears really makes you appreciate the Patriots organization and Belichick who actually goes into games with... you know... an effective game plan, taking into account your strengths, weaknesses, and that of your opponent. The Bears just didn't have their act together even a little bit. That was terrible football on the part of their offense, playing against a defense that isn't exactly unblockable.

Both teams looked bad, though. The NFC North isn't very intimidating this year.
The AFC is clearly back on top after only one season of being accused of being #2.

Bears...wow, wonder how low they go next week. EPSN.com had Pats #1 in their Power rankings, Niners at #2.
