he disappeared in the second half. it was all Maroney. what was up w that?

McDaniels is an idiot. He runs Corey Dillon outside, Maroney inside, and keeps Faulk on the bench against the Colts. How does that make any sense?

With a 21-13 lead to start the offense in the 2nd half, McDaniels ran a total of 4 times the entire half. FOUR TIMES. It was also his fault for the '12 men in the huddle' penalty, as well as not generating a single first down late in the 4th quarter when it could have sealed the game. Finally, why put Heath Evans in the backfield on our final drive, instead of Faulk or Maroney? Idiocy.

With our talent on defense and offense, McDaniels handicapped this team to only 12 wins this year and made many 'rookie' mistakes as a coordinator.

It's easy to second guess the reasons why Evans was in or Faulk was out or this or that, but we have no idea if the other players were cramping up, getting sick, too gassed to play etc etc. Who knows.

We'll probably never get the whole story, but I just think there were more guys sick with the flu and couldn't go on.

Something bad was going on,when you have to play Heath Evans at wide receiver.

Did we even through a pass to David Thomas?

McDaniels was up for some HC job and I was hoping he'd get it!

He leaves much to be desired!

Maybe there was a flu bug going around the team, I don't know. But some of the playcalling and use of personnel on offense was baffling indeed.

He is another one who was exhausted. WTF were the Patriots so tired. Maybe Polian had the heat turned up to 90 degrees so the Patrioughts would tire easily.

I actually thought the same thing. He knew the Patriots were fighting the flu and might have temperatures. And also he knew that they were dealing the the fatigue of travelling to CA and back. I wouldn't put it past that rat bastard.

Polian probably started the flu for all we know, he would sink that low.

BTW,,It was mentioned on EEI...that Faulk jhad some injury and that was why he was NOT in the game...so enough of the other talk about other thigs

thanks for clarifying. faulk is SO critical to the pats offense that it had to be an injury.

thats another thing that you could say cost us the game. for chrissake, to line up all 2nd half with no faulk in those spread formations!! faulk was the one running the draws well and coming out of the backfield for short passes....

from reiss

"ANALYSIS: When it comes to how the Patriots used their personnel, the first thing that stands out is that Kevin Faulk wasn't on the field for the team's final 24 snaps. One week after playing the most snaps of all the running backs in San Diego (47), Faulk played in just 10, apparently because of a health-related issue. In his absence, Heath Evans played when the Patriots went to their three-wide set. Faulk's last snap was the third offensive play of the third quarter."
