I am trying to think of anything that will keep me from going insane.

The catch he made in the end zone was just insane.

He kept his heals in bounds by the skin on his teeth, elevated like crazy to catch it, and was able to keep control of it on the way down.

We haven't seen catches like that around here in a long time. This guy is a keeper.

I agree...he was a nice find and will be a great # 3

That was a great grab. I'm sure that after the pain of the loss dulls we'll remember alot of positives from this season.

It is one of the most amazing catches ever by a Pats receiver. Did you see that while falling down, Gaffney even twisted his foot to align parallel with the sideline in order to avoid stepping our of bounds? What presence of mind.

We know are 2 and 3 wr's are set. Can we get another #1 anytime soon?

I think he can be a solid number 2 at the least.

I agree............. from what I've seen in the postseason Gaffney has clear #2 potential in my book. I'm looking forward to both him and Reche battling each other for those #2 - #3 spots.

I just hope that we go out and get a TRUE #1, and not just assume CJ is that guy. He's shown me NOTHING this year.

Gaffney came out of nowhere!

I was at the game and find it crazy he didnt step out and come back in....if you watch your Golden Boy Brady was being hunted down... it REALLY took the wind out of our sails... I mean to me IMHO ,as bad as some of think you played , you were answering the bell every round last night !! Nothing to be ashamed of. Expect you back ( in championship form) next year.

I think Gaffney shows what you can get from a talented seasoned vet. It took him a few weeks to bed in, sure, but now he should be pretty productive next year with more than half a season in the system behind him.

With that type of exposure to the offense, Jackson could do the same next year, which is why we should draw breath before lining up to throw him under the bus.

Gaffney has been a terrific addition to this offence. Top marks to BB and SP for picking him up. Quite what the Eagles and especially the hpeless Texans were thinking when they let him walk is a mystery. (although the Texans recent record of picking up offensive talent - or more pertinently - not picking it up is beyond mystery and somewhere in the realm of lunacy)

Our offense is good but they are not the kind that can get involved in a shoot out and come out victorious. We just don't have those kind of players. Normally is hasn't been too big a deal because our defense has prevented that form happening but last night they didn't.

yeah, that gaffney catch was the 2nd best catch I've ever seen, oddly enough the first best was made by marvin harrison. It was a crazy spin catch where he was like headlong out and he spun and protected the ball so it didn't hit the ground, it was amaing.

Still, the colts suck tho, I mean my god nothing can ever change that.

Is Gaffney under contract?

I'm sure this will be under analysis, but does anyone think that the Colts respected Gaffney more than Reche? I didn't see Gaffney get thrown at a whole lot despite being on the field for 81 percent of the plays, which seems to me that they were covering him up more than Reche -- unless, of course, he simply couldn't get separation.

Gaffney was a jewel the last few weeks and taking him away obviously hurt; compounded by the fact that Reche couldn't step up his game to counteract it.

Is Gaffney under contract?

Yes, he's signed through 2007. If I was BB/Pioli I would extend that contract by a couple of years ASAP.

THAT CATCH MADE ME PEE MY PANTS

Zippo, either way ever since you stuffed Edge on that goal line stance in the Dome in 2003 you have loomed LARGER then LARGE. I honestly believe that if we didn't win last night we would NEVER best you when it counted during the Manning era NEVER. I have been intimidated, afraid and enraged by the Pats EVER SINCE. I had us down for the count several times last night-- it was not until 16 seconds left that I felt we possibly had a shot. Regardless of what you saw last night, I saw a WAR. I also was suprised at the class your visiting fans showed. What a great partner to have a rivalry with. Sad thing is.. I think we shot our wad. You might own us again.

You guys have been the ones who have owned us of late.

Maybe you're right and that will change, but as of now I don't see any evidence to indicate that.

Than you didn't look at pat1's post on Indy's 2007 roster/cap situation, Polian is now in the same situation BB/SP have been in trying to maintain a competitive roster and pay everybody - good luck to Indy fans, but I wish Polian the worst.

As for Gaffney, I thought that catch was similar to many Givens used to catch back there - perhaps a little more of a tight rope on Gaffer's grab. Folks may recall an illegal shift penalty Gaffney had last night? He didn't know where to line-up and Tommy snapped the ball while Troy was still coaching Gaffer into place (I have to wonder how deeply they dug into the playbook to find ways to keep Indy off balance?). What he did in crunch time after only 1/2 a season is sick, given a full offseason/Training Camp with Tommy he'll be a monster - bank it. That Florida crew, plus the Bam, are going to make a very fine WR corps next season - hopefully under Coach Brown.

Thanks for the praise and such. Amazing game by Manning, and he earned it 10x over with that performance. Enjoy the Big Day.
