8. Belichick tied -Chuck Knox, 193 games (Rams, Bills, and Seahawks).
Belichick’s next win will give him [sole possession of] the No. 8 spot .
7. Dan Reeves -201 wins.
6. Marty Schottenheimer- 205.
5. Chuck Noll - 209.
4. Curly Lambeau -229
3. Tom Landry- 270,
2. George Halas -324
1. Don Shula - 347.
Belichick, now 60, could conceivably catch Shula. ....
Does this count post-season wins?
IF NOT So; assuming he avgs 12 wins a year (next couple of years maybe 14 - but post TB perhaps fewer - so do an avg of 12). (if counts post season than you could optimistically avg 14 out of 19-20 possible games)
End 2012season: BB - 205 Tied 6th place. (age 61)
End 2013 season: BB - 217 5th place (age 62)
End 2014 season: BB - 229 Tied 4th place. (age 63)
End 2015 season: BB - 241 4th place. (age 64)
End 2016 season: BB - 253 4th place (age 65 - IMO LIKELY END of CAREER)
End 2017 season: BB - 265 4th place (age 66)
End 2018 season: BB - 277 3rd place (age 67)
End 2019 season: BB - 289 3rd place (age 68)
End 2020 season: BB - 301 3rd place (age 69)
End 2021 season: BB - 313 3rd place (age 70) - VERY UNLIKELY HE COULD COACH LONGER THAN THIS.
So looks to me like he is likely to end up 4th winningst coach, but could be 3rd. (hmmm - winningst by totals or by %. - another post perhaps.)
REVISED Table by WIN PERCENT (by totals)
9 (7). Dan Reeves- 201-174 wins. (536) Season(190-165) Playoffs (11-9)
8 (8b).Chuck Knox- 193-158 games (550) Season(186-147) Playoffs (7-11).
7 (5). Chuck Noll- 209-156. (572) Season(193-148) Playoffs (16-8)
6 (6). Marty Schottenheimer- 205-139. (595) Season(200-126) Playoffs (5-13)
5 (3). Tom Landry- 270-176, (605) Season(250-160) Playoffs (20-16)
4 (4). Curly Lambeau- 229-134 (630) Season(226-132) Playoffs (3-2)
3. (8a). Belichick- 193-104 (650) Season(176-97) Playoffs (17-7)
2 (1). Don Shula- 347-173. (667) Season(328-156) Playoffs (19-17)
1 (2). George Halas- 324-151 (682) Season(318-148) Playoffs (6-3)
So the main conclusion to be drawn...............
I have too much time and really don't want to get back to work today.

Ok, seriously; At least on PATSFANS we say it all the time; but DO YOU (patriots fans) REALLY REALIZE HOW SPECIAL THE LAST 10-13 YEARS HAVE BEEN and HOW SPECIAL THIS COACH IS???
Thanks, BB.:youtheman:
Also sidenotes:
- imagine what Halas & Lambeau would have for SB/playoff records if those existed in their era?
-amazing how consistent-good Schottenheimer was in regular season and how abysmally worse he was than any other coach in his class in postseason. None of the other top 10 coaches has more playoff losses than wins - He has almost 3x as many. :bricks: * oops forgot about Knox.
BB & Paul Brown were both railroaded out of Cleveland by Art Modell, they have that in common. There is a mistake in this list, Paul Brown is left out.. he had 213 wins and that would put him at #5, and BB is 9th, not 8th. I have been watching this for a few years, as based on what I have read Brown is the coach he always wanted to copy.

Brown 235
Schottenheimer 213
Noll 217
Reeves 210
Knox 204
Belichick 193
i went off the numbers the NFL distributed
It's amazing what guys like Halas did with 14 game seasons and a couple of playoff games.
