For years I've been calling Peyton Manning a choker. I considered him an over rated whiney cry baby with no guts. And, personally I didn't like him - he gave me the creeps.

But, he proved me wrong last night. He could have folded like a card table when we jumped up 21-3. He showed me that he had both guts and ability. He also showed me after the game, by the things that he said, that he had class. No gloating- humble and very respectful.

So, I was wrong about him and I need to "man up" and admit it.

This does not change my feeling toward the Colts. I still hate them. I want the Bears to beat them in the SB. One reason is I know someone on the Bears coaching staff and would like him to win one after he miss 4X's when he was with the Bills. The other reason is, I still hate the Colts as an organization.

I agree Peyton stepped up, but let's not get carried away here. Peyton ended up throwing against a Pats defense that didn't have Hawkins or Colvin in there. At one point we had Alexander, Baker, Mickens, and Baker on our defense.

Understood - didn't want to add disclaimers to my statement.

If he was the guy that I thought, we would have packed it away after Samuels TD. Oh, he would have played but not like that.

That just blew chunks not having Colvin and Hawkins in there. Big difference makers. Your fastest LB who was pretty much the only one getting pressure on the QB and your capable safety surrendering to some no name Alexander character. Big difference right there.

Oh well, that's football they won,we lost. Injuries are part of the game.
