Latest Tim Tebow special set to air on NFL Network

I liked this series, but this is ridiculous......What the hell is Tebow doing on this series???....

We have seen legends like Belichick,Lombardi and Ditka on here ....and now we have a player who can't throw a good pass consistently and has accomplished next to nothing???

I know Tebow is a popular guy,but I think its an embarrassment to NFLN and the NFL to include this guy in this series which I assumed was about the greatest.

I know they want ratings....but putting Tebow on this show is like putting Scott Zolak in the HOF,He doesn't belong

Thoughts?

I thought the same thing when I heard he was being featured. LOL. They'll have to rename the series - "Tim Tebow, A Back-Up Football Life." Just goes to show that "popularity" counts for more than accomplishments in this world, football or otherwise.

I think the title should have been Tebow: A FB disguised as a QB

Yeah, this is so stupid. This is from the NFLN and their programming is garbage, so it's not surprising.

LOL......at first glance, I thought it said "The Feces of Tebow"

1 completed year plus 1 completed training camp/pre-season (and sure count the 1 game played...though you know they had to begin filiming this some time back before training camp)

Hopefully, Tebow wil lactually go on to have a football life and maybe, just maybe accomplish something other than being known and selling lots of jerseys.

Then, let's hear about his football life...this has to be a documentary on his college football life, but i didn't think that was part of NFL Films (which I thought covered, of all things, just the NFL).

I'm looking forward to:
The Manning Face: A pop-up book

Or is this a series on player anatomy?

NFLN: The Neck of Johnson: a post-football life for a middle linebacker
NFLN: The Arms of Hernandez: a story in ink
NFLN: The Belly of Wilfork: a football snack
NFLN: The Feet of Ryan: a football obsession

...staying away from the obvious Zeke Mowatt one...

They do it because people will tune in for a Tebow special. That said, I desperately want him on the Pats as a RB/FB/TE.

^^ THIS

Plus it is not "an NFL football life". He is a nothing NFL QB to this point. You would arguably not find more than a handful of players who accomplished more in college and HS than he did, though.

Not excusing it, but religion and past success at other levels both drive his popularity, which drives the coverage.

i like tebow, but man, rivers is a great guy, big time catholic, and doesn't seek attention like this guy at all

and he gets passed up for specials and stories

i mean, yeah he used to show a ton of emotion on the field, but that's just how some qbs are....

**** espn for painting him as a villain years ago

I agree with what is being said here, but saying it here accomplishes nothing. On nfl.com there is a place to contact the NFL. I suggest that everyone do exactly that.

I think Tebow mania has peaked this offseason. They just want to milk it a bit more before the season drags on and his popularity fades with the Jets playoffs hopes

Ratings will be through the roof, Tebow love is crazy. Surprised jags didn't get him.

I could be wrong and this could be one hour of Tebow fest but from what I saw of the promo this is as much about Tebow like players and figures from the past as it is about Tebow himself. I saw clips of Flutie and Kordell Stewart and other slash type players. I would also expect them to get into the darker history of the NFL of the past where they would force great black athletes to play positions other then QB.

Throw Tebows name on it because for whatever reason people are polarized though I never met one of those people.

Talked to a guy today who lives in Colorado that works for a company we deal with, and talked football for a bit and he said the vast majority of true Broncos fans hated him because it was just such a circus. I saw the promo for this the other night and just rolled my eyes because he's tearing apart the Jets with the same nonsense.

Although I'm a little less disappointed about that... :D

Well, wouldn't you want to actually watch it before detailing that much?

I'll agree with most and say the importance and honor of being portrayed on " A Football Life" has now been diminished greatly.
