I am still in shock.

I'll admit, I was worried all week leading up to the game on how well the Patriots would match up with the Colts. I wasn't sure if our defense would be able to handle Manning/Harrison/Wayne.

Everything was going SOOOOOO perfectly. We were up 21-3, and we looked pretty damn good while building that lead too. Samuel and Hobbs were looking great, and that pick returned for a TD would give Manning something to think about.

We were up 21-3, and we were being coached by Belichick and being led by wonderboy Tom Brady. Brady is 12-1 in postseason and 10-0 in the dome. As much as I kept telling myself that the high-powered Colts could come back, I still didn't think it would happen to us. We are too good for that.

I still sit here writing to you in complete disbeilef that the Patriots lost this game. The fact that they did so by giving up 32 points in the second half is just sickening. It's flat out embarrassing. It should never have even been a close game. The fact that we lost a game in which we never trailed in the first 59 minutes is very disheartening. I suppose that's how the Chargers felt last weekend. They were very confident, and their team had been leading for most of the game (Pats had an early 3-0 lead), and let it slip in the final minute.

I hate this. This is a lonely feeling right now. My football season feels incomplete. I really can't believe that we got hit with the double whammy....not only did we get eliminated from the playoffs, but at the expense of arch rival Peyton Manning.

This is going to be a long offseason. I really thought they were going to do it again, and by that I mean go to the Super Bowl and win it. Heading into the playoffs I honestly didn't think they were going to win it all, but I thought they would be able to build off of that Chargers win. Through thirty minutes of today's game, they showed they could still play like champions. Unfortunatley, the clock struck twelve on the Pats when the second half started.

This sucks. I can't watch sportscenter or anyother news program. I can't take the sight of seeing my Pats be the vicitims of one of the worst playoff collapses of all time.+

you know how chargers fan felt? not even close!!
the Pats were on the road, they didn't have the same talent those two teams had, they were injured, they were the 4th seed..and they came so freakin' close of going to the SB...
actually..what the Pats did with all that happened this season is a freakin' miracle!1

I told you it was a bad omen to stomp all over the Chargers' logo after our win last week. Not smart to get too excited, which is what some guys did. The time to get "too" excited is AFTER winning the SB.

good point

Hobbs played a pretty good game if you ask me...

isn't he the main culprit????

Anyways... that has no bearing on why the Pats lost the game.

But, here's to a LONG offseason.

Better do something positive in the mean while.

It'll do you good in the long term.

karma is a biatch. Maybe Charger fans and players got ****y and it slapped them off their pedestal, now the pats get knocked out after one upping the chargers with their poor sportsmanship. When Reggie Bush went into his summersault and dance routine when his team was losing mind you, I knew, as the TMQB writes, the football gods chortled. Saints didn't score another point. Karmas has a funny way of biting you in the ass. I know how you guys feel, but at least you've got the rings so most fans don't feel too bad for you guys. That was one hell of a game. I had a hard time even watching it cause of the letdown depression of last week.

Yep. Right on, bro.

I guess when Brady goes off on the Colts and their coach we'll be on equal footing - oh that's right, he won't.

Oh, that's right, Belichick was gracious when he sought out Manning after the game (not) and that 26 second post game interview was really gracious too.

I didn't watch the post game stuff. But even without watching it I know the face of our team won't call the other team, including the coach, classless.

Well, he may not say anything, but his actions spoke louder than words. Even Boomer and Marino seemed shocked.

My point really is that any actions after a tough loss like that need to be given a little leeway. That includes LT AND Belichick's actions afterwards.

wow charger douchbags are still here..no surprise

here is why your LdT can never be in the class, maturity, or the professionalism of Manning or Brady...
Brady sought Manning after the game to congratulate him personally, and Manning went out of his way after the game to point how classy the Pat players and the Patriot organization was win or lose..I guess only classy players who know winning, and have " been there" recognize class, not the whiny babies that play for your team, who wouldn't recognize class if it hits them in the face

Okay, first of all, I didn't bring it up.

Second, did you see Belichick's on field interview?

My point is that everyone needs to cut the losing team (including coaches) some slack. Losing a game like that is not easy. Emotions are high.

This will all be over between LT and Belichick by the time the ProBowl is here unless the media refuses to let it go.

Who cares about Bill's post game interview? Is that really what we're judging coaches by now?

i dont think you can compare the pats loss to the chargers loss, the only thing the pats had going for them was bradchick...and the chargers had every other advantage....the chargers were very very very very confident to win, and were upset that they lost

th epats colts game coudlve really gone either way...since they've played each other so many times, they were better prepared for each other...samuel shutdown harrison and dungy/manning adjusted...

hehe...on brady's last throw evans was wide open...on the flat....couldve throw it to him and he wouldve gone out of bounds....and the game probably wouldve gone to the pats....

pats fans will never know how charger fans felt b/c you wont see us, after the superbowl cheering and trolling on colt boards saying how the bears beat manning, (even though i'm hope peyton actually wins this time)....

chargers fans came here, talked ****, started flaming on our boards......lost....and came back a week later, just to get some satisfaction from our loss....its like they're coming back for a little quickie with their little peckers...

charger fans, what will you call yourselves next year? eagle fans? bears fans? colts fans?? or bronco or raider fans...hahahaha.... come back when the chargers beat the pats in the playoffs...dont have the colts do the "walking" for you....pathetic

I'm a Charger fan, who did none of the above. I never said anything derrogatory about the Pats. I came back to congratulate you after your win. If anything I tried to defend the Chargers.

I've been a Charger fan for over 30 years. Always have been, always will be.

I guess when Brady goes off on the Colts and their coach we'll be on equal footing - oh that's right, he won't.

The Colts and their Coach did nothing for Brady to go off on- unlike some Patriots players and Bill. Brady was off the field faster than a Samuel interception return and Bill B.'s post game antics are borderline insulting. Dungy, after his MANY playoff misadventures, has shown how to handle losing with class. Losing, my friends, is part of sports. NO ONE goes undefeated forever.

That's because they can't. The Colts have lost to the Patriots before. They have handled it with grace and class. A role model for all other organisations.
There is no comparison as you are trying to do.

well..same can't be said about your organization can it?

Here's another Charger fan who came here before the game, came here after the game, and never flamed, trolled or talked any garbage. Been a Charger fan since 1980, always have, always will.

And for what it's worth, I saw a lot of Pats fans at my Charger board all of last week, gloating and rubbing it in our faces, or "coming back for little quickies with their little peckers" as you call it.

We can all agree their was plenty of childish behavior on both sides of the ball.
