Away teams usually wear home jerseys this early in the season at 1 pm games. Are they wearing them tomorrow?

It depends on whether or not the Titans wear their whites

Right. Home team always gets to choose. Still summer, so in Tenn guessing the Pats will be in navy.

Not correct. Home team has the option of white or dark. When they make their decision, the visiting team must wear the opposite.

I remember a situation that happened not too long ago when the visiting team brought the wrong uniforms with them. I cant recall what actually happened to fix it.

A better question is- Are they going to wear throwbacks this season and if so when??

this.
I love the classic red throwback jerseys we wore against the Titans the last time we played (anyone who needs a reminder? 59-0. 'nuff said)
I have a Woodhead and Brady jersey in that style!

I'm not sure why you would consider him 'wrong' for stating that it depends on whether or not the Titans wear their whites?

I think that he is saying the exact same thing that you are :)

The snow certainly favored the home team in that game, not to mention the team who had the better offense, but it was a classic game for Pats fans.

I also love the throwback reds (I think we all do), but I would actually like to see the throwback whites again, which may happen if we wear the jerseys on the road.

The thanksgiving night game at the NYJ could potentially draw those.

To answer joey007's question: I am sure that they will likely wear the throwbacks in one game this year, but I don't think anyone knows as of yet.

FACT: Teams submit their jersey choices for each game prior to the beginning of the season.

Really? Are you sure about that one?

Yes, you are right. When I went back and re-read it, he DID say the same thing that I did, and he said it first. My bad.

I am not sure if that is correct, either.

Yeah, from what I understood the home team has the option up until that morning to decide what jerseys to wear, which they sometimes do depending upon the weather conditions of that particular day.

That's where the whole debate comes up about wearing the darker colored jersey in the heat.

I'm not sure how they could make that determination months and months beforehand.

I know the Texans decide on their uniforms well in advance. They have a "battle red day" or "whiteout", etc. In fact, their season tickets show the uniform being worn for each game.

In fairness, with them playing in a retractable roof stadium, weather isn't a factor if they don't want it to be.

To be honest I just don't really officially know what the NFL rule states, but I do know what we're often told by the media in terms of certain home teams choosing to wear their whites when the weather is hotter for that particular day, etc.

I could not find anything on it via the web in the rulebook, so if anyone comes across something I'd be interested in knowing. I was under the assumption that the home team had up until the day/morning of the game to make their determination, but that may not be true.
