NFL 2012 Kicks Off: Cowboys at Giants Tonight

Roster cuts have been made. Meaningless preseason games have been played. To warm us up for Sunday's game at Tennessee the NFL season kicks off tonight with a rivalry game, Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants on NBC. Just as if it was the Super Bowl the NFL...

I could care less about tonights game...either team means meh to me,I won't be watching it.

The only notable is that it begins the 2012 season.

Is there any chance whatsoever that Dallas wins tonight? It's amazing how regardless of how well the teams match up, the SB winner NEVER loses their opener, I can't even remember the last one that did. I would honestly have to look it up.

I ALSO can't remember the last time Dallas win a game I really wanted them to win. '08 against the Ravens, '09 against Attention Whore Favre, and the Jets last year come to mind for times this team utterly failed when I was counting on them. So the only question for tonight has to be, how is Tony Romo going to blow this one???

I would watch a game between the Jaguars and Browns before watching an NBA or MLB playoff game.

It's football! Turn on that TV and enjoy the return of America's game.

Odd...Giants open at home...Jets open at home...everything all rosy and content in NY courtesy of the Omish....we'll see tonight how bad these refs are...I expect it to be all pro Giants...

If there was ever a game I'd be willing to risk losing my money on, it would be going against Tony Romo in a high profile game.

And we have a pregame going on IN Giants stadium, sure to include some ballcrushing clips and tributes of last year's SB, and Hines Ward's **** eating grin on the set as well yet I'm still watching like a little *****. Football pwns me

Who knows when it's going to be done though :/ FWIW, I've been watching for about 20 minutes and there's been no mention of it *fingers crossed*

Are they supposed to have a ceremony before kickoff? I think I'm gonna step out for 30 mins just in case

Not even turning it on until i see that the ball has been kicked. Then rooting for Dallas harder than any team this week not named the Patriots.

glad football is back, should be a good game. Cowboys might surprise a lot of people this year. Predicting the Eagles and them to make the playoffs.

What's wrong with Romo? They said they're cheering for the Cowboys, not expecting them to win. I'm cheering for them too, full well knowing their chances aren't the best but I don't believe the Giants are a world beater, they just have the pieces required to throw elite QBs who have no run game to rely on off their game and they happened to show it twice in the playoffs.

Dallas has what it takes to beat them after their offseason. Giants lost a lot more than they replaced, Dallas added more than they lost.
