Thought it would be interesting if people could give there pre-game thoughts, predictions and a little trash talk. Will bump after the game.

BB will confuse the hell out of Jake Locker with different pre-snap looks. Jake makes some very poor decisions when you move him off the spot. On offense I don't think the Titans have the personell to matchup on the inside with Welker-Hernandez-Gronk. Im thinking we get out to an early lead and make Locker try to lead them back. CJ2k won't go over 60 yards.
OPOTG: Aaron Hernandez
DPOTG: Steve Gregory

It's rather helpful that the Titans don't have Kenny Britt playing. He makes their Offense far more potent. That's not to say Nate Washington isn't a handy player (because he is) but Washington, Wright, Cook and Johnson should be easier to defend than Britt, Washington, Cook and Johnson in terms of match ups.

As I've mentioned I'm not one to read much into the preseason but I'd be happy for the staunch Run D to present itself to bottle up Chris Johnson. Wilfork has to dominate the line and an explosive welcome to the NFL from Dont'a Hightower and Chandler Jones would be most welcomed.

IT'S FOOTBALL SEASON....

YES :rocker:

As always.

Incredibly nervous before season opening.

GO Pats.

It will be interesting to see what BB does on defense. I would guess we're not going to see gaudy sack stats as we work to contain Chris Johnson (no, pin your ears back and go after the QB).

I really want to see Lloyd and Brady in action. I don't think we've been able to see how well they are connecting. I beleive Lloyd knows how to play in theis offense and we'll get our first view Sunday.

Just happy to see football again. Hoping to stay healthy and come out with a W. Usually you see early struggles, this year it wouldn't suprise me due to all the new pieces and that'd be fine. But I see more of a 2007/2010 type open to the season where we come out firing on all cylinders. Offense has a shaky start but defense keeps us in it until offense takes off. Pats roll 34-17 (score is closer than the game really was Titans maybe get a late score or 2).

1. I expect to see Jones playing contain again like he did in the Eagles preseason game. Locker is a mobile quarterback and loves to do most of his work outside of the pocket. I think we set the edge and contain to keep him in the pocket, make him come off his first look, and fire from the pocket... similar to what we did with Tebow last year.

2. The game plan should revolve around stopping Chris Johnson. Tennessee probably did it's scouting and realizes that they'll have a hard time running up the middle, dealing with not only Wilfork and Love, but also our LB's. I expect to see a lot of rushing attempts off the tackles to try to take advantage of the Patriots having smaller DE's in the game (Jones, Ninkovich, Cunningham, etc.). The CB's need to be on their guard because they'll be expected to wrap up well to prevent Johnson from breaking the big one. He's not the runner he used to be, but he's still dangerous.

3. Offensively, I don't see anybody on the opposing defense that can contain the TE's. We shouldn't have an issue moving the ball on them through the air. I'd like to see us pound it with the running game early and often though. Successful carries of 4-5 yards consistently will draw defenders even closer to the LOS and cause them to stack 8 in the box. When that happens, they open themselves up for the big play, I'm guessing a play action fake deep downfield to Lloyd.

The thing I'm probably looking forward to most is to see our new RB's their first game as the official feature backs. Ridley looked like a feature back at times in the preseason, time to see how he does in real action. Interesting to see how the carries are distributed and the volume of carries.

OFFENSE: I'm ready to see this offense unleashed. It's been at times a sluggish camp and preseason for the offense, but I'd like to think the McD is just waiting to let his creation off the chain now.

They've held back; they've targeted specific plays they wanted to work on; they were not game-planning. Let's see what they can do when its for real.

DEFENSE: I'm happy not to face Britt. That makes life a lot easier. I'm excited to see what this new secondary is about. I don't think that some of the positive preseason performances by this defense were a fluke. They got faster and stronger on defense at every level.

I remember over the past 2-3 years thinking the same, as the Pats would be going up against a rookie qb or a new starter, but it seems as though we were getting lit up more often then not.

Also Locker is most dangerous when he moves out of the pocket. Sometimes he relies on his arm too much and gets in trouble, but he is a dangersous runner and some of his best passes are when he's running out of the pocket. I think the pats would be happy to keep him on the spot.

Today's practice report, haven't seen it posted anywhere so thought I'd drop it here. Really disappointed on Vereen(dnp), concerned about Vollmer(limited).
