With less than a week before the Ravens season opener against Cincinnati, starting left tackle Bryant McKinnie is saying he's no longer with the team.

McKinnie told radio station WNST in a text message that he's been released.

He also tweeted, "Decision made! I'm gone," which began the speculation of McKinnie leaving. A source within the Ravens organization could not immediately confirm McKinnie was released.

The Ravens wanted to restructure his base salary of $3.2 million for 2012, which could've created problems for someone who's already having about half of his salary garnished due to a loan McKinnie took out during last year's lockout that he failed to repay.

Should the pats go for him?

It's not official yet.. McKinnie jumped the gun.. Supposedly his agent is still trying to work out a deal with the Ravens according to the latest tweets.

Used to be great, now he's toast, no thanks.

I wonder if he could play guard...

I don't like the sound of this.... Why has he failed to repay? Does he have character issues? I think I would stick with what we have, let them develop.

Welcome to the Jets!

Pass on this.

This guy was a stud at "the U" but even then was considered the epitome of the phrase "million dollar body, 50-cent head." He had a decent career with the Vikings, but I don't see him picking things up too well in New England.

And now everybody gets to see how big of a bust Oher is at left tackle...

I would consider him as back up to Vollmer and Solder which would allow Cannon to move back to guard. But I doubt that he would come to the Pats as a back up. He will look for a starting position.

He's a walking illegal procedure. He pulls early on every passing play when he plays left tackle. He's living on his 'blind side" laurels.

The Ravens have reportedly agreed to a restructured contract with LT Bryant McKinnie.

Wanting to stay with a winning team, McKinnie was amenable to reducing his $3.2 million base salary after all. The new deal still leaves McKinnie as a free agent in 2013. Allowing Michael Oher to stay at right tackle and rookie Kelechi Osemele at guard, this is music to ears of Joe Flacco owners counting on a smooth transition to the no-huddle attack. The Cardinals, Jets and Chargers miss out on a chance to upgrade their pass protection

Didnt think he would leave balt anyways
