wow, only 3 seasons ago, so many names that aren't there anymore; Moss, Green-Ellis, Wright, Wilhite, Koppen, Faulk, Watson, etc.....

I think he's shown enough improvement in the aspect that he beat out a proven vet in Hasselback to win the starting job, although that may/may not mean a lot.

We'll be able to see his potential improvement soon enough. Let's hope that he's at least looking somewhat like the Locker of his rookie season early on when they play on Sunday.

To be honest, it's the defense that I would have more concern with. Kamerion Wimbley and a couple others looked incredibly good at times this preseason. Although they were 'only' going against the preseason scrubs at times, I still think the front seven poses more of a threat than other teams, especially at a time when Brady and the offense have not totally found themselves as of yet.

I am certainly expecting us to win, but I wouldn't be shocked at all if it were a lot closer than many predicted into the 3rd quarter or so.
Are they equipped to bring the blitz all day long?

I presume Mankins plays. Already that will help the line if he does. I expect us to see lots of run plays early on.
I'm sure bill has a plan for CJ.

My older son (he was 5 at the time) and I were at that game, it was his first one. What an awesome day :)

Wow, I had forgotten about that game. Incredible day for a lot of old favorites (and even some non-favorites).

The 6th TD pass, I can't at all figure out how Moss was able to extend his hands fast enough to snare that pass.

Only 5 more days!:singing:

I was there too. My buddy and I moved down from my section in the mezzanine (227) to the sidelines behind the Titans bench and stood the whole game. Wet and cold, but still fun. I think if they wanted to, the Patriots could've tied or exceeded the 73-0 league record for biggest blowout.

Six fumbles and two interceptions by Tennessee is not the definition of the other team running up the score.

If anything, Belichick instructed his team not to score again after the 3rd quarter as the Titans shut out the Patriots in the 4th quarter. Brian Hoyer (since released) came into the game with five minutes left in the 3rd quarter.

Titans QBs Vince Young and Kerry Collins went 2-14 for a minus 7 yards in that game. -7 yards passing! How do you do that?

Tennessee fumbled 6 times!

Box score: Tennessee Titans vs. New England Patriots - Box Score - October 18, 2009 - ESPN

This was the game where Tom Brady threw an NFL record 5 TD passes in a single quarter.

lol @ 3:20 going for it on 4th down being up 52-0, gotta love it!!

The Moss TD crossing the back of the endzone is one of my fav Brady-Moss scores - ball looks rigged..

I was there, in the lower bowl end zone corner. A friends friend was trying to dump his tickets last minute so I got 3 $100+ tickets for $120 total. A small price to pay to witness history.

:rocker:

I remember reading a Tennessee newspaper that said that the refs took pity on the Titans but not calling a safety when Vince Young was sacked near the end zone.

Was this the game where Jonathan Kraft was so excited about Brady's fantasy football numbers?

I'm just glad there will be football this Sunday.:D

Tomorrow.

We have to wait until Sunday for the Pats, but there will be real live football that actually counts tomorrow. I'm practically giddy with exciement......:singing:

Let's be cautious... These dudes blew out the Ravens last year so they are capable.

since the Buffalo game minus Lawyer Milloy I take nothing for granted in game 1. It's all about film study and let's face it - there's not much to go on for game 1.

That was a great game.

Maroney scored a TD though...if he is able to do that how hard can it be for brady?

I was talking about the locals. I honestly don't know any good forums, other than this one. I hate the Titans
I've never had an intelligent football conversation with a Titans fan. They still believe we shouldve been stripped of our SB wins. I'd rather talk to Jets fans. Seriously, I see a powder blue jersey walking toward me, and my blood boils. It's a wonder I havent killed any of them yet :D

Did I mention I hate Titan fans? :beatingcoming:

Sorry I couldnt be more helpful to ya

Gotta say, for what it's worth, that I joined a Titans forum about a month ago, been posting some stuff asking for advice on seeing the game this weekend etc...and they've all been courteous as can be. Some of them invited me to their tailgate parties! I even asked if I'd hear a lot of 'cheating' or ***gate references and the whole subject was downplayed as ancient history. Their pregame thread right now is pretty tame actually. (Compared to: ever visit a Steelers forum the week of a Pats game?) Titans fans seem to have a humble, cautious optimism - "I think we have a chance" and "Pats o-line needs help so..." ... Read very little 'Belicheat' or Blizzard references. I'll try to give a quick report Sunday night and let you know what they were like in person. Can't wait for this game! :rocker:

That was my first game ever at the stadium. Because it was snowing I told my friend I would only leave if they put Hoyer in. By half time 90% of the stadium was gone and we were able to sit in the front row. Hoyer came in towards the 4th quarter and we left with a few minutes left. Besides the mile walk back to the car in the snow it was a great experience.

EDIT: In game it was obvious the Titans didn't want to be there. There were 30 guys standing in front of that jet engine heater looking thing. Nobody wanted to leave and go back on the field.

I would imagine their forum would be the same as ours. Good posters, and bad posters. I was referring to the people I meet in bars. As for the report, I don't need one, I live here :D
