Blew a 21-3 lead. Defense allowed 32 points in the second half. I didn't think they couldn't lose but if they did I didn't think they would lose like this.

I am speechless.

i agree...no words...

I wonder if it was the flu. The team looked like they were running on empty. The second half collapse has almost no precedence for the Patriots of recent years. A dissapointing game because that was not the Pats who played, it was some B grade version of them.

Actually, I'm not that surprised on the defensive side.

You try playing a highly emotional and physical defensive game while you've got, or are just recovering from the flu.

I think it will emerge that the flu had a significant role in the exhaustion on defense.

Great season, team. Look forward to what you'll do next year.

I've never seen the defense get so burned so quickly. The Pats played great but still lost. I don't know. I'm still in shock to be honest. Reche droping easy passes. The ref's non-call of PI in the end zone. I don't know why the Pats D looked unintersted in playing the second half after owning the Colts in the first. Lots of questions...too few answers at this point.

Let the Peyton Manning coronation begin.

I could be a ***** like Manning and cry ref but I won't. Besides the one phantom pass interference call I thought the game was well played and refed accordingly. They took it from us and they deserve the credit. I will say I'm bitter about the one play but the better team won. We should of been able to overcome the cheap call on Hobbs.

I am glad Justice has been served!!!!!!!!!!

The choke's on your flocking genius coach and your classless team!!!!

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I've got plenty. First of all, congrats to the Colts and Manning, they have earned this in the most incredible way. Good job fighting all the way till the end.
I guess, when you live by the sword, you truly die by the sword. Brady has been so erratic this yr. there is no way you couldnt have seen that ending coming. It appears Manning rubbed off his choking habits on Tom at the Pro Bowl. :) Just joking. But, it brings to mind Austin Powers when they stole his Mojo. Where has Brady's mojo gone? Now, dont get me wrong. I am not blaming the whole game on Brady, just merely noting that his last throw was an absolutely mind numbing decision.
Well everyone, here's to the draft. :eat3:

The 21 to 3 lead is dubious at best considering Indy then got the ball back and went down to score on the last possession of the second half to make it 21-6 (going into the locker room with a score is big as was noted last week when we did it). And Indy was getting the ball starting the second half. Essentially a TD drive (which Indy is very capable of) to start the third was going to make this a one score game. So I am not sure "how" we lost it like "that". I think we just simply lost. The Patriots gave it everything they had but made a couple of key errors (see below). Ditto for the Colts without the errors). They made a few more plays than we did. The errors in the last part of the 4th (Cauldwell drop on the sideline setting up a longer first down try AND the 12 men on the field penalty that again made the first down try that much harder). If you make those mistakes then you increase the chances of losing. Indy played error, at least those kind of errors, free in the last half of the 4th quarter. So congratulations to Indy for executing when they absolutely had to, to pull out a very hard fought, close game.

LOOOOZERSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course there are words. They all come in the form of questions such as: why the hell weren't you pounding them with the running game (that they obviously had trouble stopping) with 2 minutes left and a lead? And why did the defense play so pathetically in the second half? I won't go so far as to blame this loss on TB because he did have a helluva game until the forced throw into the secondary to end the game. But eh, it's over. And if anybody deserves a Lombardi trophy at this point, it's Dungy. Class act of a man.

There's always next year. Perhaps a nice free agent on offense and maybe some new additions to the secondary through the draft?
