Lots of love in those picks for the Texans.

If Schaub stays healthy and that D continues on its course, thre may be no stopping them.

I put £20 on them to win it last year at 25-1 and if Schaub hadn't got hurt, I thnk I'd have been quids in! Yates did a tremendous job in his wake...says a lot about their system as a whole.

No surprise that Polian didn't pick the Patriots...bet you he wanted to...:bricks:

POLIAN!

I'm backing off the Texans now. Prior I was thinking if everyone stay healthy they will be a dominant force. However, I think they may have a similar fate as the 49ers. Teams who have a considerable jump from one year to another tend to regress big time. In addition, every statistical advantage would have to carry over, and I don't think it will. They may pull a Carolina Panther and make the SB, but I don't think their defense will not be as good as people think. I feel the same way about the 49ers. Their schedule is loaded with good QB's, but the difference may be that they are the best in a mediocre AFC South.

As for the Ravens, Flacco may indeed have a career year. He may be forced to if the defense isn't up to par which is likely. Plus, he is playing for a big time contract.

I'm still not buying all the Packer love. They were an overrated 15-1 team last season, and I think they will come back to the pack with like a 11-5 record or so. Their defense has just as many question marks as the Pats, but for some reason people think Aaron Rodgers makes up for that.

I wouldn't call it a considerable jump what happened last season. They were pushing the Manning led Colts and making noise before 2011...their defence was a huge factor in dragging them down.

I think the texans are the best in the AFC..but with the pats schedule i think we get #1. When texas comes to town later in year..we will see who really is the best

Huh?
The year before they were 6-10 and other than 2011, have never finished closer than 4 games behind the Colts in the history of the franchise.

I just want the pats to beat them down when they come to town

Most improved team - The Buffalo Bills (Ron Jaworski commentary)

I would love to see the Buffalo Bills finish second in the AFC East.

The meltdown at Jets Insider would be epic!

Schaub is soft.

None of them picked the Pats to win the SB.

I am very happy that means we are a mortal lock yo win #4 this year.

It's no coincidence that they were finally able to beat the Manning-less Colts last year after not being able to accomplish that year after year. Sure they came close a few times but ended up screwing it up when it counted. Sage Rosenfels in 2008 comes to mind when they blew a 27-10 lead with 8 minutes too go.

4 have GB going to the SB and I agree.

I have NE over GB in a rematch of the 1996 Super Bowl. GB is due for a SB loss (Indy, Pitt and NE all lost SBs) and NE wont lose back to back SBs and 3 in a row. Theres just no way.

IMO, the Ravens D is getting old and NE has pretty had their number. Even though Balt outplayed NE last post season, that loss has to haunt them. Schaub doesnt impress me at that much in Houston and it remains to been seen how much Williams leaving will hurt.

AFC Div winners - Pats, Ravens, Broncos, Texans. WC Bengals, Buffalo

NFC Div winners - Packers, Falcons, Seahawks, Eagles. WC 49ers, Redskins

Have I missed something with the Texans?

They made the playoffs last season, but has Shuab made a full season?

Hard to go against the Packers in the NFC... they're going to be tough. And did somebody actually pick the Eagles? Wow, please fire him. Can't rule out the playoff-tested Giants either. And I don't see the Niners being able to replicate last season at all.

AFC is a toss-up. I can see the Texans, and the Ravens are a real long-shot, but with a great D, you can win any given Sunday. We'll just have to see.

No he hasn't..but if he does..and he will one year..with foster and johnson and that D...scary

If the Patriots don't make the Superbowl: Texans over the 49ers is my pick. The Packers love is getting crazy.
