Center out of Boston College.

Bedard says he will sign to the 53.

Saints wanted him to be solid at all 3 interior positions. He's 6' 4" 300 lbs. But he wasn't really up to it. He's a Center.

I figure BB got a good close look when they were practicing w/ the Saints. I see back-up Center, and then take over Center if Connolly has to move or gets hurt.

This roster isn't anywhere near done.
We now have too many OL, so one must go (assuming Waters returns) we are overloaded at DL/LB and short 2 WRs. Not to mention the 4 TE thing is dubious at best. One too many corners also.....

One of the media people speculated that the Patriots might use the new IR rule on Shianco on Tuesday.

Would make sense. Having Shiancoe in the back pocket in case Hernandez or Gronk go down but not eating up a roster spot.

Bring back Branch or Gaffney and then we are good with 5 wides and 3 TE. Use Fells at FB when needed.

I like this move, Tennant was a binkie of mine a few years ago, hopefully Scar can really help him develop.

For the most part, can't go wrong with Boston College offensive linemen.

Some schools develop quarterbacks, running backs, defensive linemen, linebackers and secondary personnel...BC has always been know for their offensive linemen. Good move by the Pats, IMO.

A team might have the greatest quarterback of all time, but if he doesn't have an offensive line to protect him,. he will never be able to play up to his abilities.

I'm also OK with the move. They spent a few days practicing with the Saints so they definitely saw something in Tennant then. It's certainly safer than just signing some random player from a another team who you wanted to draft 2 years ago.

I'd guess that we are cutting McDonald or putting him on IR.

...or possibly less certain of Waters. Adding another interior lineman could be an indication that the decorations are more memorial than welcome.

We're fine at OG, even without Waters: Mankins, Connolly, Thomas.
We have 2 centers: Wendell and McDonald (who is injured)
We usually carry 5 interior linemen.
======================
CONCLUSIONS
1) Tenant is a center-only players and should be considered a center.
2) We need a 4th OT.
3) Waters is still a question mark. Also, who he would replace is also in doubt.

Can he shotgun snap better than Damien Woody? :D

heh...remind me to never cross you for ANY reason...btw,I WAS shocked when BB let him walk in FA but that shotgun thingy was a major contributing factor
