As we learn of the Patriots' moves to get down to 53, feel free to pour your heart out here.

(If you're looking for the latest news, or have some to share, here's the news thread.)

Nooooooooo! Dig has been cut which probably means that worthless jag Sergio Brown might make the team.

Holy crap. So they are going with 2 QBs.

Well, so much for no surprises today :lol2:

Pissed off. Hoyer's gonna get claimed by 8+ teams.

Having Mallett as the only backup QB is a concern. I don't see him as often as BB does, obviously, but the kid doesn't look ready to me.

It does free up a roster spot and I don't really see the point in carrying three quarterbacks again.

Koppen gone too. Another sign Waters is coming back.

Shocked Hoyer has gone!

As for Ihedigbo, never going to be world class, but he played injured and showed desire!

Koppen had been playing better, but it apparently wasn't "better" enough.

Hoyer's an undeniable surprise, though I did have him 3rd on my depth chart. Hope he finds a new job, he's a smart, hardworking guy.

Koppen, sadly, is not much of a surprise. I believe I said "either he's the game 1 starter, or he's gone." A heck of a Patriot.

So no team would give up a late round pick for Hoyer? That's seems like a stretch.

Agreed. My brother in law talked about trading Hoyer for a 2nd rounder and I had to throw some cold water on him, but even I didn't expect a straight out cut.

I'm hoping this is good news for Alfonzo Dennard's chances.

Devastated about Hoyer. Thought he had everything but a cannon arm.

Hoyer didn't play well enough in the preseason to get anything at all for him in a trade, apparently.

A tie definitely goes to the guy with more upside and with a longer-running contract.

No problem for me. We're screwed if TB goes down and ANYONE takes over, but Mallett is every bit a Cassel to me, i.e. he could at least keep the damage contained if the unthinkable happened.

No, they were offered a first round pick and the Pats decided it wasn't worth it.
