Another nugget: At Aaron Shea's son's christening, the Godfather (Brady) told the dad he wanted to play 20 NFL seasons:... And that Christening was just a few months ago. Playing 20 NFL seasons would have Brady retiring after 2019.

Wonder if he can pull it off. 8 more years - When we got Gronk and Hernandez signed until about then I laughed that this will make Brady want to play until the end of his TE's contracts.

As much as I would like to see it, may prove difficult...

The body just breaks down, no matter how much you work out adn what you eat..

Hopefully he is smart enough to walk away.. when it is time.

Well, that let's the cat out of the bag. Patriots are drafting O-line in round one next year. :p

...and they are scouting JV high school teams for his eventual replacement.

On one hand that seems crazy to me. He and his wife have all the money they could ever need and his third kid is on the way. Why endure all those training camps and all the injuries in your upper thirties when you could relax at your new mansion in Costa Rica??

Maybe he has a chip on his shoulder. Maybe he wants to go down as the consensus greatest of all time. Maybe he thinks Mallet won't be ready to be a solid starter until 2019.....:rolleyes:

Because, as he's said more than once, he can't imagine anything else he'd rather be doing right now. Then again, he's been saying he plans to play 10 more seasons every year since before he met Gisele (something even she's noticed :D), so dropping that number to 8 might be an "improvement." :eek:

The only thing to take from this, as usual, is that Brady LOVES to play the game of football, even right now, despite all the distractions. I hate to play TMZ, but Giselle's little outburst about the last SB actually has a positive side - she cares about her husband's career and wants badly for him to win superbowls.

I don't see any career or family issues interfering with Brady playing until he can't play no more.

I'm loving imagining the scenario of Rats fans changing their mantra to "Just wait until Brady, and BB, and those two lucky draft picks, Gronk and Hernandez retire, then you guys will suuuuck!!! Can't wait!"

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

It is the curse of great quarterbacks. They believe that they are invincible and can play forever.

However, what else would you expect Brady to say?
