ESPN experts' NFL predictions for 2012 - ESPN

Pats fare pretty well. Four pick the Pats to win the Super Bowl, three more have the Pats to go to the Super Bowl. All pick the Pats to win the AFC East AND the Jets to miss the playoffs. Chandler Jones gets two votes for DROY. Belichick gets three votes for coach of the year. Brady gets three MVP votes.

I think Jones will do well, but Kuechly looks like a safe bet for DROY. He's looked ridiculously good this preseason.

Guess no one expects a repeat champ.

Only six "experts" agree with you. I didn't watch most of his preseason, but how much of his great play was against the 1s vs. the 2s? I am only asking because I don't know.

BTW, not trying to highjack the thread to make it about Kuechly.

That's a whole lotta of Packer love.

For a network that claims defense wins championchips and teams need to run the ball to win.......it's kinda ironic.

I'm not necessarily picking him because some experts picked him. I watched the Panthers game against the Jets and he looked like the best player on the field. I didn't think his skills would translate in the NFL level. I thought he'd be too small and not fast enough. My friend who's a Panther fan has been raving all preseason but I figured he was just being a fan.

Kuechly's got a knack for knowing where the hole opens up and meeting the RB there, basically what he did in BC. And he's a solid tackler, not always looking for the highlight hit.

Reminds me of Zach Thomas.

If your sample size is against the Jets' offense, you might want to temper your expectations a bit.

We'll find out in a week whether these rookies can really perform when the lights are on.:)

I sum it up to the Aaron Rodgers love fest. Sort of like when the Colts and Peyton in the early 2000's. I think the same problems that plagued them last year will have the same impact this year. Like the Pats, once a team has game film on you struggling against a defense then other teams will copy and build upon it. I am not being a hater, but I will be shocked if Aaron Rodgers have a similar season this year. All in all, the media overrated the Packers last year, and for some reason many think the Giant game was an aberration. I just think Aaron Rodgers great season covered up a lot of issues the same way Tom Brady did in 2010.

I haven't been able to follow the rest of the NFL as closely this year as I have in the past. For the folks in the loop, how do the Packers look when compared to last years Packers' team?

who cares what anybody from espn thinks.

Gee no one picked the Jets or Denver.. :D

Pretty good read this month is the ESPN Magazine, lots of info on the Patriots including their view of a breakdown of each game in terms of W-L...

Think they picked the Pats to go 14-2, do not remember who they picked to win the SB.. but was not the Patriots.

Kind of hard to win DROY by stopping the run in todays NFL.

Well, you might review the article. 13 or 16 pick the packers to be NFC Champions.

Damn it all to hell!

16 of 16 have the Pats winning the Division.
Eight of 16 have them winning the Conference.
Four have them winning the SB.

Only the Packers are jinxed worse:
16 Division picks, 13 Conference picks and nine SB picks.

Where's the disrespect? Where's the Hate?

I'd rather be the Giants.
Eight Division picks, Four Wild Cards, Four No Playoffs.
Zero, Zip, Zilch, Nada, None picks even to make it to the SB!
Now that's a team to worry about!

That's a fair point. He plays passing downs as well. But a guy who get's QB sacks/pressure is obviously going to shine more on passing downs.
