I could hear Gang Green Board shriek with excitement all the way from RI.

I am still holding out hope for a 10 TE set formation. So Belichick has to sign him.

He was released because he wants a starting job, but maybe a chance at a ring might still be enough to coax him here?

Well now they we are getting rid of all these receivers we have room for another TE.

I do like Cooley too.

He'll be a New York Jet or a Miami Dolphin pretty soon.

Let's put the "big name" factor aside for a sec, though. So, why was he released?

Was it due to his injury? Still not recovered, I take it.

What I find most interesting about Cooley is that he was being converted into a Fullback in Washington. If he was able to fill a TE/FB roll, he'd be an improvement over Kettani. That is - if we want to keep a FB on the roster.

I LOVE Christopher Cooley!!

Bring that crazy bastard IN here!! :rocker:

Truth be told, he's probably done...

But in the unlikely event of him checking out medically, it would be amazing to have as a reserve Wing Back, and to be able to send him out there with Aaron The Navigator, Rob Gronkowski, Shane Vereen, and Jeff Demps!! Hah!! DC's would crap themselves, trying to decipher that grouping!!

We have more tight ends then whats at a party at Hugh Hefner's house

That could be interpreted two ways. In one sense, very true.

In another, very false. I think they are generally pretty loose down there at the mansion. :snob:

Yup. I live down here. He hasn't walked correctly in the past 14 months.

Is Washington in cap hell? It could be a move to clear some salary.

Since Jabar Gaffney was cut in favor of Visanthe Shiancoe, I suppose the New England Patriots could cut Brandon Lloyd for Chris Cooley.
