The suspense is palpable: a national stage for the latest chapter in what might be a new NFL standard for offensive futility.

McElroy leads a couple of 4th quarter TD drives.

An NFL first, 3-way QB controversy erupts.

A menage-a-trois of suckitude that produces an even more entertaining New Jersey 3-ring circus.

Heh, I recognize that image. Made that in the wake of the 45-3 drubbing the Pats gave the Jest after that "retrograde" article was posted in the NY Post.

I'm thinking they'll score in the first regular season game. But, I'm also thinking they'll challenge records for futility anyway, in classic Jest fashion.

They'll be playing an improved Bills defense. No guarantees there whatsoever.

No, but this is the Jest we're talking about. They always provide just enough hope for their fans to be let down in a spectacular fashion later. A first quarter TD vs. the Bills and no TDs for three weeks would be about right.

Tonight the JI message board servers finally crash.

I edited the title making this the Jets vs Panthers game thread.

Or, AKA the Sunday Funnies, 8Pm on NBC.

My fiancee wanted to watch "The Hunger Games" tonight. I told her no, there's a comedy special airing at 8 I've got to see. After I explained further, she understood without question.

Panthers are +3...so i took them

I think I'll watch some MLS tonight instead.. You'll see more goals between the LA Galaxy vs FC Dallas and Sporting Kansas City vs New York Red Bulls games then the Rats will do all preseason.

There should be plenty of new Jets Suck material after tonight's preseason game.

This will be Cam Newton's first primetime game. I hope he lights up

HG is not a bad movie but its pretty messed up. A little disturbing.

What's the Las Vegas odds of Wayne Hunter playing tonight?

Wow. I see the hate you guys have for Jets and Jets fans runs deep.

Anyway, I bet a friend of mine, a Giants fan, $10 that the Jets first team offense would score a TD. I think I'll win, but who knows.

Also looking to see how Coples does in his third game this preseason.

Santurdio is starting tonight per NFLN. However Rex will again keep his ace in the whole (wildcat) under wraps. When he does unveil it it better not fall flat on his less ample ass or the NJ media will eviscerate him.
