The circus has begun without even a single snap in a live game yet. This is going to be epic.

Revis told Kimberly Martin of Newsday that he is uncertain the team’s front office has done enough to help quarterback Mark Sanchez be successful.

“You’ve got to do what’s best for the team, and I don’t know if we’ve been wise in that department,’’ Revis told Newsday.

Not a ringing endorsement from the team’s best player. With the Jets facing serious questions at wide receiver and right tackle, is there enough around Sanchez for him to be a top-10 quarterback?

“I don’t know,’’ Revis told Newsday, described as shaking his head.

“I don’t really know how this is going to pan out. I just hope they do what they need to do on offense. And not to divide this—I’m supporting those guys. I think the only thing you can do is be supportive. Right now it’s still preseason.”

This is too weird to see players taking shots at the front office and HC.

I hope he leaves the Jets when his contract is up, I could see him wearing 24 on the Pats.

Revis could also do what's best by the team and shrink his contract. Naturally, that wouldn't go down too well with Revis.

This guy really does think that he is an "island".. little regard for the other 52 and the folks who pay him.

Yeah, no. He's a great corner but he didn't earn the nickname "Mevis" for no reason. Pass on this tool.

Not a pun.

Over the past few years, this team has fueled itself on bravado, much like a bully does. It's worked enough to get them some wins and a couple of playoff appearances.

Now, with the drop-off in talent, the "transition" on offense, and the potential of the energy that fueled the bravado being turned inward onto themselves, it is a disaster waiting to unfold.

4-12.

And this probably needs to be folded into the Jets Suck thread pretty quickly.

Well you know.

"he's kind of a jerk"

Takes one to know one Darelle.

This is clearly a result of him practicing against the Jet's WR's and he knows they are in deep do do.:p

Revis will demand an 88 billion dollar 8 year contract and the right violate it by demanding a bigger contract after year one...

Of couse, he's correct. But he shouldn't be saying it to the media. That sort of stuff should be internalized. But, then again, this IS the Jets we're talking about here. Hope Rex enjoys his last season on the sidelines for them this year.

In a presser Wrecks said that Hunter excelled as the sixth man. Soon the NY media is going to call him on his buffoonery. I don't know why it's taking them this long.

Revis will never make it on the Patriots he has the talent no doubt about it but he is greedy to fit into the Patriot way....he will always be on a team with not a lot going on besides him then he can feel better about himself....guaranteed he will hold out next year and not honor his last year of his contract

Honestly i think Revis is one of the best defensive players i have ever seen.

Knowing that i would not like divisive figure like him on this team. A player who is supposed to be a leader who throws his offense and front office under the bus, holds out years before his contract is to be renewed signs a new contract then there is once again turmoil about will he or won't he hold out again.

It makes you feel lucky to have had some of the leaders on this team we have had through the years, Brady, Bruschi, Rodney, Vrabel, Vince, Wes e.t.c

It is such a shame i mean it's like he doesn't even realise what he is saying. Just because you say hey don't get me wrong i am supporting those guys... doesn't erase the last 2 sentences saying that the offence doesn't have enough talent to be competitive and it's the front office's fault.

It started long ago, the minute they traded for Tebow. Cromartie tweeted immediately afterwards saying the trade made no sense and that the offense didn't need him.

Just another day in Toontown ...

Maybe Darrelle Revis should worry about why the defense sucked last year before he starts whining about the offense

You know, for allegedly a top 5 player in the league, a guy that the likes of Albert Breer insists is as important as a Brady, the team has only played .500 ball in his career there.

The meltdown this year for the JETS will be epic, on a nuclear standard.

I can see Sanchez' ego collapsing, imploding like a black hole and taking a lot with it as the offense sputters and cries for TEBOW! ring down from the stands.

The finger-pointing among the players will likely start early, and the New York, New Jersey media will be like sharks smelling blood in the water.

Gonna be some wonderful press conferences, too. Not to mention Joe Benigno on the radio down there. Man might actually have a heart attack on air. not that I'm hoping he does, but some of his rants have been epic too. :rocker:

He is locked into a contract that was front loaded, and if he holds out all it does is add years to the deal. Tannebaum knew what he was dealing with.

Not being able to hold out he makes himself a pain in a somewhat not so obvious way, hoping they will shut him up by caving.

BB would take him in a heart beat, Law called him a liar and he let it go.

Seriously. Belichick seems to be, above all things, a pragmatist. The idea that we wouldn't sign the best CB in the game if the price was right and he was willing to play by the team's rules about the press is silly.

Everything being said about Revis you could say about a million times over about Moss...
