Ten reasons to hate the Indianapolis Colts, in no particular order:

(1). These are not really the Colts. The Colts belonged to Baltimore and ceased to exist when their sleazy owner hijacked them in the middle of the night and moved 1,000 miles away. They should've been renamed when they were moved.

(2). GM Bill Polian is a mean-spirited lunatic. He has the audacity to meddle with the game itself and makes a total ass of himself in his maniacal pursuit of victory. If there is a way to change/bend the rules or outright cheat, he'll consider it.

(3). The team's radio play-by-play announcer sounds like Donald Duck on helium.

(4). The Colts play indoors in a domed stadium and have adopted a wimpy flag-football style that brings us to ...

(5). Peyton Manning (a/k/a "Commercial Man"). A homely, snot-nosed, slobbering goober-hick who doesn't hesitate to throw others under the bus when things go wrong. A great player who is impossible to like.

(6). The team's second-rate mentality is responsible for hoisting banners in the RCA Dome touting division titles and appearances in the conference championship game. Total bush league.

(7). Tony Dungy is overrated. People think he is "calm," but he really is a passive-aggressive depressed automaton whose job is done by longtime assistants and his get-a-life quarterback.

(8). Adam Vinatieri. Phony player-without-a-soul with dollar signs where his heart should be.

(9). The city of Indianapolis: Known for nothing -- it has no character or strong regional identity. Not really a sports town, has a bandwagon fan base. Does not deserve a major sports title.

(10). Whining and sulking. From Manning to Polian to the fans themselves, this franchise has turned sour grapes whining into an art-form, both on and off the field.

All the talk about Manning and Vinatieri getting payback....f*ck that. It's time for the Patriots to deal some payback for that home loss earlier this season. For Marvin Harrison spiking the ball at Ellis Hobbs, for Bill Polian openly wishing injury to Doug Flutie in the press box and whining about the rules when things don't go his way.

It's payback time, and the underdogs are about to dish it. I'm hoping for a blowout Patriots victory.

Good job on the list, I agree on all.

You sound like a very jealous person.

Everything you both said.
They just annoy me on every level;even their uniforms annoy me. I try not to hate them but to me they are just ankle-biters who are trying to ruin a perfectly good game known as football. Everytime any one of them opens their mouths it's like nails on a blackboard to me.There's something fraudulent about them from the top on down. I do hate them.
(BTW my apologies to the good Colts fans here, but I take comfort in knowing your board probably has an identical thread about the Patriots :p )

That sums it up perfectly. It's a soulless franchise that happened to hit big on a star quarterback.

Great job and great thread ;)

How in God's name are you going to bad mouth Adam Vinateri? He's getting older, he got one more payday-- if the Colts wanted to offer him that much money, good for him. What he did in this city should never be forgotten. Adam should always have a place in this city.

Ditto just about everything that's been said for me, esp Polian. Smug, self serving , arrogant naPolian. I completley despise him. So tonight, if we can thrash their title hopes, it'll be delightful to see Polian get knocked off his lofty perch - once again.

Adam could have stayed here if he wanted to and been paid handsomely. He could've capitalized on his status as an icon and a local legend, made millions in endorsements, etc. He sold out for a few more bucks. I will never forget what he did here, but he's dead to me now in the uniform of a despised enemy, and I wish him the very worst the rest of his career.

Though I appreciate and will forever remember everything he did for us,AV sold his soul. He's now the enemy. End of (my) story.

As an aside, didin't Polian build the Buffalo Bills team that went 0-4 in the Superbowl? If so, then you compare his experience in Indy and you can almost understand why his sanity is being affected....and he IS losing it.

Bullcrap, he was paid for his services................... I hope he breaks his leg trying to tackle LoMo or Hobbs as they breeze on by him, nothing personal though  .

Ghost is the man now.

Watching replays of Tony Dungy repeating to himself, "Money, money, money..." really gets under my skin, just very annoying. So I hear you for sure.

Especially when you consider the only thing Dungy and the Colts did to help develop Adam into the kicker he is, is to consistently lose to him.

That bugged me as well, and I can't really say why. Maybe it's because "money" is what Vinatieri is all about. I can't imagine a coach like BB or Parcells saying something like that watching a kick. I'm not sold on Dungy as a coach, at all.

I have no problem with Vinatieri leaving, A lot of guys have left and I wish them well when they're not playing the Pats. I do however have a problem with him going to our most hated rivals, that is unforgiveable.
