This game will be Sanders chance to make a statement, and to see whether or not he is where our future at SS lies or if we need to look to the draft/FA for a future replacement. I certainly hope he is up to the task in this big game.

I have no gripe with him, but his name isn't all that exciting. I would love to get a new safety with a name like Mack Hittum, or Truck McBlacken

Or something really...scary sounding like... Hank Dedman

Jack Dupp.

Jack Dupp.

James Sanders is a good safety though. I don't want to belittle him.

Now ... if peyton manning could change his name to Holger Denk...i could enjoy belittling him.

How about all the national media men change their names to "Peyton Butkiss"

Wilson should return next season.

This is a big game for Sanders, but even if he doesn't play too well he's still got a future here.

Absolutely. He's been stout so far in the playoffs. Really saved our bacon in run support against San Diego. Hasn't been a liability in the passing game either. Unless he loses his jockstrap out there today, he's at least backup quality on this team.

I think Sanders has shown real improvement this year and I expect him to carry this over for the seasons to come.

Rodney had high praises for James. In the beigining he showed his
lack of experience. He has grown with his opportunity of more playing time
and is becoming what Rodney saw in him. He very well could have a huge game.

Agreed. This game does not make or break Sanders... he already has a place here and is the starting SS behind Rodney unless we take a day one safety in the draft. I don't see too many SS's in FA that the Pats would go after to replace Sanders.

That being said, he does need to have a big game here given our speed at LB.

I really think getting in there regularly has helped him a lot. He played a few games here and there when he wasn't really developed enough, and looked terrible (Denver game especially). But now he seems to be in a bit of a groove and his tackling has been fantastic.

Sanders has been improving all year.....Rodney says he has it,that is all I want to hear.......James kick some Colts *****......GO PATS!!!:rocker:

Lets all remember this is his first year starting and at that he didn't start to Rodney went down. Give him a whole year starting and he could be a really good safety.

I've really lowered my expectations of Wilson. I hope he proves me wrong, but his play has been declining for a couple of years.

I remember the scouting report on Sanders said that he may not wow you with his first impression, but that he is a great learner and doesn't make the same mistake twice.

The best case scenario was that he would grow into his position and be a solid player, which looks like what is happening.

I give Sanders all the credit in the world...he came in several weeks back and I see great improvement weeek to week. He is making more plays every game, looked really good to me last week.

A huge game from him would not surprise me one bit.
