Which NFL team leads the league in rushing TD's the 3 years?

Which NFL team is the only one with at least 17 rushing TD's/season the six years?

That's right boys and girls - The New England Patriots!

Granted, the numbers are skewed by the fact the Pats score so much in general. Regardless, the numbers bring a grin to my homer face!

P.S. Hey, Ridley, don't let us down. K?

Anyone who says the Patriots aren't pass first must re-establish his/her connection with reality.

Those numbers are VERY skewed to the fact that the Patriots offense just scores so much. Although we've had decent running games in previous years like the year Brady went down and 2010.

With Tom Brady at QB, the Patriots have always/always will be a pass first team.

Sometimes we pass until we get close to the end zone. If you don't feed offensive linemen smash mouth football near the goal line, they'll rebel.

Not to mention, we've made so many passes out of the TE spot, all teams have to keep honest on that play.

With Brady as the QB, and weapons such as Welker, Gronk, Hernandez, Llyod, and Gaffney as the main targets, the NEP had better be a pass first NFL team.

However, the RB's are also a bigger part of the picture than before, as we should have some better efficiency altogether at the right moments.

I wouldn't mind a 55/45 pass to run ratio, and that's somewhere around where I expect it this season.

I do think that there will be some games when the team specifically gameplans to run the ball more though, so that may come into factor too.

Then why do they lead all the great offenses on ground TDs?

There's a big-difference between saying that they score more rushing TDs than any other team and saying that they aren't a "pass-first" team.

As a simple example, in 2007, the Colts(!) had both more rushing TDs and a higher percentage of rushing TDs than the Pats did. . . . and I don't see anyone calling them a running team.

That's just because we pass to the goal line and hand off safely over a couple downs and smash it in.

Oh, I get that part. Of course they are not pass first. I was just pointing out that of all the great offenses in the league it's the Pats running game that outguns the others at the goal line. I never would have guessed it.

Last year, the Patriots were 17th in the league in rushing attempts and 3rd in passing attempts. "Pass first" is a bit of a misnomer, as they use both the run and pass to compliment each other (in theory), but the Pats are definitely Pass Preferred, and the numbers bear that out.

"Upon completing the task of building the world's most powerful army.......it was inevitable that Louis XIV would eventually use it."

Having a GOAT QB is not really compatible to "three yards and a cloud of dust".

Ofcourse, per a recent thread.....if we had Demarco Murray...we wouldn't need any WR/TE's.

Interesting stats, but any honest fan will tell you they still have a lot of room for improvement. Especially, with lead-preserving, clock-killing, defense-saving, big-game winning running ability.
