Was it my TV or did ESPN's camera work suck?

I knew that they are morons already.

Not showing replays of penalties away from the ball so you can judge if it was justified (not like they give the refs a pass during the week) -OK. I know they are morons.

When the QB dropped into the shotgun he moved off the screen? Is my TV bad or did ESPN hire a special needs cameraman?

No, they were horrible. I couldn't count how many times they chose to show a camera focusing on something irrelevant during the entire huddle to snap period, preventing anyone from trying to read the formations.

The broadcast was one of the worst I've seen. Mispronouncing names or just not knowing who players are. They kept bringing up side conversations instead of focusing on the game. I guess their thought was that because it's preseason people would get bored of it, but hello we are tuning in to watch the game and not some discussion in the booth.

Herein lies the problem: they think we care, they think it's about them. The four letter network has gotten way to full of themselves.

I'm glad someone else noticed this. More times than I wish to count, they came in on a play (from someplace on the sidelines or elsewhere) that was nearly finished. All it takes is a button push from a producer who knows that more than ANYTHING else, we want to see the game.

Yeah, they were making me dizzy and disoriented. They would zoom in really close on a sweaty player for about a minute (because that is clearly what the home viewer wants to watch!) and then pan back right after the snap so you had no idea what was going on.

Besides all that has been mentioned the picture itself sucked, it wasn't very clear.

It's pretty obvious that in preseason games, the production/camera crew starts their backups... Besides those annoyances, there's also the 2 minute long interviews on the sidelines in the second half, and the announcer's complete disinterest in the game by that point.

It was bad, I said to my brother they must be using replacement cameramen tonight and they're worse than the refs.

Yah every time they waited for a play to be halfway over to go back to the field I felt a mighty fury waging in me. And then I remembered it was a preseason game and my fury melted into annoyance.

it was a preseason game that brady and most of the pats starting offense did not play in, ill give them a brake there only so much info u can have on Nick Foles and Ryan Mallett lol

Complaint was with the director's camera work not the insipid commentary. Director's choice of camera subjects was pathetic. Fire the clown.

Worst ever. The QB view was the worst to me. He'd drop back and before you could watch him throw they were already viewing the wr or te the pass was going too. And the lack of replay was atrocious. Not going back and viewing how the play developed,qb reads etc.

So it wasn't my TV. I thought I had to buy the all 11 just to see the QB.

They hired retired soccer players to run the cameras then had a "special" producer. (I blame Bush, or Obama because we know E!SPN is better than that.)

Note for anyone new to the board: That parenthetical statement was dripping with sarcasm.
