Folks,

I posted this in the tailgating forum but didn't spark any responses

Anybody ever used these guys to get to a game.

Want to get to Gillette early before the Cards game to show the wife round the stadium so train not ideal but can't find much on these guys.

Thanks in advance

re: OT: Bowl Bus - Feedback & Opinions on Bus To/From Gillette

I wanted to give this a bump to see if anybody has tried this service before, or may be interested in giving it a try. Traffic to and from Gillette is infamous for being by far the worst in the NFL, and on top of that there is the relatively high price of parking. There is of course the option of taking the train, but that has several drawbacks (i.e., no time to tailgate; may miss kickoff).

It seems to me this would be an alternative well worth considering, whether it be from this company or perhaps another that offers this type of service. I'm sure the community as a whole here would be much obliged to any opinions and feedback if/when they have given it a try.

sounds good from boston........prob take you home the fast way.......just don't miss the bus

Gonna give this a shameless bump as it seems a great idea and my alternative is hiring a car

23 seats required!!

That would make it much more worth it. It looks like the cost is $45 from most destinations. Which is about how much parking cost anyway.

What I cannot find is how early do they get there and what time do they leave??

I know the train gets there about an hour before and leaves a 1/2 hour after the game ends(from Providence)..

The nice thing about public transportation is that you can avoid the possibilty of getting hit by an impaired driver..

Missed the part "(or when Game completes)". Most games go past 4PM let alone the time it takes to get to the bus after the game.

They should really be more clear about that. "When the game completes" could mean as soon as the clock runs out. I assume they give you at least a 1/2 hour to get back to the buss, but according to their terms they don't have to.

Seriously, not trying to be a wise guy here, but what else would "when game completes" mean other than when the clock strikes zero at the end of the fourth quarter?

If taken literally that's true, but wouldn't it make sense for them to give another few minutes to walk to the bus? I mean, what if you leave the game 15 minutes early to walk over and then it goes into OT?

They're morons for not being precise on their departure criteria.

I'm pretty sure they told the wife it was 30 mins after game ends

I shot a note to the email on the main page of their site asking for clarification in regards to their departure time. This is the response that I received:

We leave 1 hour after the official end of the game but we find most of the time that people are on the bus well ahead of this and we depart earlier than that.

We will look to clarify this on the site.

Please help us spread the word about Bowl Bus!

Excellent jmt. That makes the bus a good alternative.

I've actually spoken to them as well, so I'll see if I can get more in-depth details on this service.

2 more seats sold

21 more spaces till I don't have to drive anymore so can get drunk!

was on the fence about using this service until I saw on the website that "All buses come with human drivers."

That was a strong selling point for me too!!

Thanks for posting this! I'm am coming from Canada to watch my second Pats game and there are only two of us this time so the list of DD's got a lot shorter! Got tickets to the Bills game and was struggling with taking the train because of all the negative feedback.

Very excited to hear about the bus and will be booking my tickets from Revere soon!
