Before we see 20 different threads discussing how we should trade for him:

In light of Jaguars owner Shad Khan's recent public remarks, Jacksonville's RB Maurice Jones-Drew is now open to being traded, per source.

Yeah, not going to happen. Still pretty huge news IMO.

Does that translate into he's open to being traded or the JAGS are interested in trading him... Cause there is a difference, not that it matters cause we aren't going down that road.

I don't think it matters what MJD wants, if Jags want to trade him they can. I already know we're not touching him, even though Brady would probably try to talk Bill into it, he was recruiting him before the SB during media day.

I think he would be a good addition to the pats though....He can catch out of the backfield and we wouldn't have to change our offense to a fullback friendly offense as MJD is his own blocker....I wouldn't salvage the future as the Jags would want if they traded him but MJD on the Pats would be nice....

I would LOVE him on this team, but it won't happen. A team I could really see making a push is the Lions, they haven't kept a RB healthy in years.

New owner had said the MJD's theatrics were WAY down on his business worry list. He's moving on. Good for him. MJD signed and received a good front loaded contract and now with 2 years to go is having a hissey fit. Too bad. Excellent runner.

Aaron Hernandez, Danny Woodhead, Stevan Ridley, and a 3rd, :D

No thanks. The guy has had an astronomical number of touches the last few years, he's an injury waiting to happen.

...I hope that's sarcastic.

I'd trade for him, but I'd offer them a 2nd and nothing more.

The owner supposedly said MJD wasn't important!

I know owners say things in this situation, but MJD is the Jags offence!

Based on the fact he carried it a lot he's going to get hurt soon?

Would love to have a gif of Gabbert with "Hey bro, I got this" emblazoned.

Alas, I hope it sounds funnier than it may look.

Holy shizzle. Billy boy, you have to make this trade.

Would take a couple of high draft picks and a big contract.

The Redskins would be all over this if they hadnt given up all those picks for RG3 and lost $32 million in cap space.

The guy is so compact and his legs are so massive that I don't see him as a major injury risk.

He's been basically in the 300s for carries since Fred Taylor left, so I don't blame him for wanting the money. I just don't see BB giving up picks to the Jags and tossing this guy big coin.

BB "We'll trade you an Olympic silver medalist and throw in the silver medal."

The guy is arguably the best RB in the league (3rd at worst), and would be the best Pats RB since Corey Dillon. I was slightly kidding but if we could make a trade not sacrificing one of the big 4 offensive weapons thatd be sick. (didnt mean to type hernandez)

lets not forget the last jags RB we took with miles on the clock.
