"I am typing this from my Treo....

Anyone familiar with indianapolis will recognize the establishments!

1)Cato June and Rob Morris were both still in the bar (with Blue Moon in Hand) at 12:05. Jillians Resturaunt. They both like white women!!

2)Bob Sanders was at St. Elmo's steakhouse eating dinner. Gone at 8:15. I bought his ice water and told him to win by 2!

3) With June and Morris a little slow reacting tomorrow, my NE bet was just doubled!"

I don't get the White Women comment for Morris - he is White, isn't he ?

Anyway with a 6:30pm game, I am reluctant to think this is too big of a deal.

i dont see what the big deal is....

Your post is offensive.

Your post is offensive.

It's not his actual post. He's copying and pasting it from another forum from my understanding. Anyway, I'll settle for the Colts having fun tonight, so we can have fun tommorrow (where it matters).

12:05 ain't that late for a game that will be played at 6:30.

And I'd like to point out that sometimes you need a little help getting to sleep before a game. Throwing down a couple before bedtime for an evening game seems to be a strategy for not staring at the ceiling till 5 in the morning.

For whatever reason, this post reminds me of the "first" Manning commercial back in 2002...

For whatever reason, I agree with Ray, copying someone else's crap doesn't exonerate the poster. Not to dump on you Socal, it just isn't useful to the discussions here and below you usual standards.

I think his intent was to show that the Indy players were out partying, not to comment on anyone's preference of white women. I suppose he could have edited the post, but really it's not that bad a quote anyway, from my seat.

:yeahthat:

Who cares what they're doing the night before?? The game is played on the field, last time I checked. How they show up then will be what matters, for them. How the *Pats* show up and play is much more interesting to me.

Editing would have been reasonable.

I think the whole point is that it suggests that maybe the Colts aren't taking it as seriously as the Pats even if it is only a couple of players.

There were reports from the Pats-Eagles Superbowl that many of the Eagles were out partying the night before while the Pats were more restrained, keeping their eye squarely on the prize.

If the Colts show that they don't need to totally dedicate themselves to the game and ensure that they show up in the best possible physical condition, well then that's just so much better for the Pats.

I concur, not sure of the necessity of commenting on the color of the race of the woman they were out with. It may be someone elses work, but not necessary and may be viewed by some as inflammatory.

That's how I took it also. In fact, I'm beginning to get an overall impression of a degree of overconfidence coming out of the Colts camp in general. Just a feeling.

My sincere apologies. I simply copied and pasted the post in its entirety and if I could edit or delete it now I certainly would.

Just a question (not trying to make an argument), if I had simply linked to the post and not quoted it, would that have been more acceptable or just as offensive?

In any case you are correct in that I should be accountable for this and if a ban is deemed appropriate then I am fine with that.

Oh jeez, the sensitivity police are out again. It wasn't THAT bad. Someone could look at Brady's new chick and say Brady like Young Women - no difference just an adjective to describe a subset of women.

Serious question: Is this board really this ridiculous when it comes to political correctness?

Partying 12:05
Game 6:30

It doesn't matter that much if the game is that late. Players have to get to the dome 2-3 hrs before the game.

Yeah they (Cato/Morris and anyother colt partying) have plenty of time to catch up on their sleep.
