NFL.com: Pats uniforms worst out of all 4 major sports

Personally, I'm in favour of a combination design for a new uniform.

I'd like red jerseys and silver pants with silver helmets and the Flying Elvis logo.

I can name three worse uniforms in AFC East alone. The writer didn't even bother to give any real justification.

thanx...I got root beer and pretzels all over my monitor now...

This thread reminds me of a Jim Carroll song..."It's Too Late"..

you see, you just don't know..

I'm here to give you my heart

and you want some fashion show...

Hey, let's talk about.... clothes. :bricks:

And that's just the jets, home, away and throwback.

Once they changed the original uni, I couldn't care less what they wore, as long as they won.

But since I need to pick a uniform, I'd go with some combination of maroon and green.

Call me crazy, but I also liked the Packers throwback that came out recently

I'm thinking something like this, with a silver helmet and pants would look really sharp.

Are they really going to say that the Pats' uniforms are worse than the Seahawks? The Seahawks' uniform looks like someone puked up another team's uniforms. I guess they got brownie points because their uniforms are the only uniforms out of any sport that glows in the dark:

lol seems legit, Pats have a one of the top 10 Uni's in the NFL.

Finally read some of the article in what you posted. The fact that he's bringing Spygate into the discussion shows how biased he is and what a joke this article is

Agreed. Perhaps he gets paid by the word?

That's a travesty in itself that he's getting paid for this garbage. Seriously, bringing up Spygate in an article about who has the best jerseys..... JERSEYS!

Dolphins are far worse and I could name another 10 off the top of my head. Teal and orange...lawl.

Bottom line...they are associated with winning now, but the flying elvis is absolutely horrible....IMO....
I think whatever the Patriots wear gets associated with winning, not the other way around (which some nincompoops try to say.)

Let's put it this way: The Titans probably associated the throw back with winning after they got on the wrong side of 5 first quarter Brady TDs.

I love the Pats uniforms. They remind me of Super Bowls. 5 of them, specifically.

Seriously though, if I try to be objective about this, I think that the Patriots have pretty much league-average uniforms. I can think of much, much worse just in the NFL, such as Tampa Bay, Arizona, Cincy, Baltimore, Denver, Buffalo, Seattle, Tennessee, Jacksonville, Carolina, etc. I'd also be curious to see how many people hate the Patriots' uniform but don't have a problem with the Texans'.

How do you rank a team that won't be unveiling their uniforms until the fall?

Terrific list.

Why do they call it the flying elvis, I've always thought it looked more like a guy wearing a hammer on his head.

Meh...hate

NFL
Seattle
Tampa Bay
Tennessee
NY Giants (road esp.)
Atlanta
Jacksonville

NHL
Vancouver
Florida
Minnesota
Carolina

MLB
San Diego
etc.
etc.

You get the picture. Pats have average uniforms, but I like them because of the history associated with them. Even if they switched back to the Pat unis, I'll always think back to the Flying Elvis and the halcyon days of BB, Brady, Bruschi, and everything else about this era...and then I'll smile.

I used to get paid by the column inch when a reporter and stringer for some Western Mass papers (The immortal Greenfield Recorder, North Adams Transcript, Pittsfield Eagle and some others long forgotten)

Back in the early 70's it was $.90 per inch.

The current uniforms are my favorite uniforms in sports.

I'd be legitimately butthurt if they changed them
