The Woodhead disrespect is getting out of hand on this board. First, preseason late-game studs are taking his spot, now Olympic medalists. It's like knowing and executing the playbook, averaging over 5 yds/carry over the last two years despite playing through an ankle injury, and consistently doing his job mean nothing. Not to mention that he has done this against real NFL talent at the highest of levels.

I'm not saying Vereen or Demps can never succeed with the Patriots. But, it's going to take much more than one dominant performance against NO's fourth stringers and a Silver Medal to make Woodhead expendable.

I don't know why you guys are so hostile to the guy he reports rumors and preliminary info.. doesn't mean its necessarily going to happen. He clearly said if the bears couldn't come to an agreement with Forte he would be traded and gasp the Pats had interest. He got resigned and thats that. He reported Manning to the Broncos 3 days early, Tebow to the Jets, VJ to the Bucs, and Mario to the Bills all before BSPN. If you want to hear the earliest news its not always going to be 100% correct because things change fast in the NFL.

I wouldn't doubt if he is being shopped Demps will eventually fill his role.. and Woodhead was totally useless last year besides his fumble that almost cost us the AFC championship game and his "decent" showing in the super bowl. Doubt anyone trades for him and doubt he gets cut though because we're thin at RB especially with Ridley's injury.

Generally, I regret memory loss. But in this case I'm pleased.
