Jets Safeties: we're going to give TEs something to think about

Personally I think the Jets are quickly going to slip into irrelevancy during this season. They don't deserve this kind of attention on our board.

If we posted every stupid thing they said in a separate thread, then there wouldn't be much room on the board for anything else. I think probably 15% of their stupidity makes it into its own thread. This one was pretty stupid but beyond that it is actually football related because it speaks to one of the ways teams will try to deal with our TEs.

This sort of strategy might work against Gronk, but it shouldn't affect Hernandez. Gronk makes his plays by being huge and powerful, and that's the sort of tight end that guys like Landry and Bell can keep up with and hit. Hernandez, though, is a different animal. He's about quickness and elusiveness, and he should be able to get open against two non-cover safeties.

Couple of nice downfield blocks by Gronk should quiet them down a bit. That's the thing about Gronk -- he doesn't have to catch passes to be a big part of the game.

The only way their safeties can compete is if the Pats Te's are on the bench or injured. Honestly now, how many useless headlines can 1 team make in a off season? That team has no dignity left or they are just crying for attention. They really are in their own dimesion over there.
