I was surprised but I heard it with my own ears. On ESPN Radio less than 30 minutes ago, just a day before the friggin AFC Championship, Sean Salisbury (the only ESPN 'expert' to pick us last week BTW) asked friggin rookie Colt Safety Antoine Bethea who he would rather play in the Super Bowl - New Orleans or Chicago. The dude kind of hemmed and hawed but never said anything like: 'we're not thinking about that, we're thinking only of the Patriots,' or anything like that.

I couldn't believe it, and I hope it makes it to the Pats locker room.

Time to open up a can of whoop ass now isn't it?

I have yet to see an ESPN "expert" not pick the Colts. But this is just stupid.

Nick Harper also said that they were 'in Brady's head'.

Thats why I can't wait for Monday when they'll have to eat their own words!

you haven't been paying attention the past few years if this isn't classically set up for the pats to admoinish a total smack down. this is just too funny.

I have never watched history repeat itself over and over like this with anything else before, except maybe the sox blowing pennants to the yankees!

you know belichick has this team as motivated and prepared and focused as all get out for tomorrow. I'm pretty sure the pats are gonna go out and take this and go to the super bowl and win that.

did you see the press conferences yesterday?
brady looked like he knew something nobodyh else knew.
he looked very sure of himself and unworried.

go pats!

Nick Harper also said that they were 'in Brady's head'.

Why? Because of one game? Does Harper remember back to just last season (or the first game in their two game winning streak vs. the Pats) where Brady completed 66.6% of his passes for 265 yards, 3 TDs, and 0 INTs? Talk about being in Brady's head.

Brady had one bad game. And even with him throwing for four picks and no TDs, the Pats were able to get 349 yards of offense and 20 points. I seriously doubt Brady will throw four picks this time around.

As for Salisbury, I am glad he is getting Colts players to look past the Patriots and say things about the Pats. It can only work to our advantge.

Chris Berman picked NE, this morning. Even had a score, 25 - 23. Says he was 4 - 0 last weekend. Go Boomer!

Isn't this the same tube steak that lost the ball to Worthlessburger last year in the playoffs?

Pundits, especially the national ones, have the memories of goldfish.

at least the rookie answered properly :)

Nick Harper should worry about keeping sharp objects out of his (ex?) wife's hands on the day before a big game.

PTI was debating who they'd rather see in the SB,Colts or the Saints (obviously the Pats and Bears were not even choices :bricks: ). I was so pissed I emailed them. Picking the Colts for Sunday is one thing, but to totally diss the New England Patriots as nothing but a mere speedbump on Peyton's Road To Miami is ridiculous, and I don't care what team you root for.
It gets worse...they brought up Junior Seau's probable return to football next year, and Wilbron's comment was," Of course he should return,he wants to get to the SB". "A chance to play in" the SB would have sounded a bit better. Maybe I took that one wrong, but I don't think so,given the overall comments.
I know, PTI is PTI, but still....:woohoo:

It's really crazy how things have shaken out this year. I never expected this team in another AFC Championship, but here we are. Although if you listened only to the media you'd think the Colts were just there to have a rough pre-Superbowl walkthrough scrimmage.

I hope the Patriots win, just to put an 'STFU' in the craw of the world.
