Very good columnist. Will trade Ron Bogus and the CHB for him.

Very well written. Good story, but irrelevant as hell. Not the Patriots fault that he can't come up with a story. He should try writing about another team like...the Colts?

he is a writer for the indianapolis star. far less subjective than many that have made it through the boston globe this week.

Now, before I start getting vicious e-mails from guys named "Aah-ttie from Peabody,'' let me say, this is not to belittle the Patriots in any way, shape or form. They are remarkable in every way. They've won three Super Bowls in five years, which ought to be downright impossible in the salary-cap age. They represent everything a professional franchise should be, a team shorn of egos, selfless and even classy, despite what LaDainian Tomlinson might think.

Good paragraph right there.

Well written article with a hint of jealousy.

I find it interesting he sorta ripped off the theme from the msnbc.com guy from eariler this week.

Hey! He ripped off my reply post too from yesterday in the "Lovie Smith Pulling for the Colts to win" thread. The one item I honestly thought I would be the only one making is the Yankees/Patriots comparison. Plagiarism at its low point if it was taken from me. Seriously though, I actually thought it was a good article. And I would trade almost the whole Globe sports staff for him....

Kravitz IS the Indy Ron Borges.

He's been pretty tough on the Colts. One can only imagine what he'll write if Manning loses AGAIN.

One has to wonder how much sleep Peyton is losing knowing what a hit his commercial income is going to take if he's fully and firmly established as a big game loser.

But then again, the NFL Network used Bledsoe as their spokesman even though he lost his job soon after the commercial began airing.

Bob Kravitz is an idiot.
Bob Kravitz said:
Can we really go through another New England Super Bowl week?
Can't he get it through his thick skull that there are TWO weeks until the Super Bowl? :D

Maybe Kravitz can stand next to Polian and they can do a "Lambeau" leap from the press box if the Pats win.......

As usual the media thinks it all about them. Notice the whining, not just this article beut generally, about having to 'cover' the Patriots again, Oh the Humanity!!!! The poor reporters are tired of the Pats.

BTW when you see how incopetent the coverage of the Patriots does it make you wonder if all news reporting is this shoddy?

My response:

There is something much, much more important that we must be saved from Sunday: Anything, and I mean ANYTHING, that threatens to further legitimize Peyton Manning's status as a commercial pitchman. If I have to see that snot-nosed, slobbering goober in one more television ad I don't know what I'm going to do.
That is why the Patriots MUST win Sunday. And, God willing, they will.

Good article - hardly "unloading on BB and Brady." More "pleading with" or "whining about."

The entire Manning family–Born to Lose–it’s genetic. Can’t wait to see Peyton, Archie and Eli on Saturday Night Live’s “Appalachian E.R”. Lorne Michaels, the script for this one writes itself.

Love it when Peyton begins his mopey, dopey bobblehead schit. Just a robot, flush him out of the pocket and he’s lost. Never forget the end of the 2003 McGinest “injury timeout” game, when the so-called football genius didn’t even know what personnel he had on the field. I don’t care how many game tapes Pavlov’s little dog watches. I want him in tears tomorrow.

And, while on the subject of class, what self-respecting football player would appear as he does in those TV ads?

ya let's cheer for a team just because we want a new matchup..... jealousy.... as old as cain and abel
