Just passing time before the season starts, predict the number of yards and optional, the number of receiving touchdowns for the WRs, TEs, RBs. Don't have to be too specific and involve everybody, just for the top weapons and whatnot.

Lloyd: 1250 yds, 10 TDs
Welker: 1100 yds, 5 TDs
Hernandez: 850 yds, 8 TDs
Gronkowski: 825 yds, 12 TDs
Gaffney: 525 yds, 3 TDs
Stallworth (or Branch): 300 yds, 3 TDs

You have Brady throwing for 5300 yards without passing to his RBs or third tight end at all.

Did I not say you have to be specific? This is just an estimation for the top weapons.

I'll leave it Prolific or Elite?

4800 yards and 42 TDs

Every time I give this a shot, I try to be modest in my projections. Yet I can never come to a sensible final number.

Welker 100 rec 1150 yds 7 TDs
Lloyd 70 rec 1080 yds 8 TDS
Gronk 75 rec 1050 yds 14 TDs
Hern 75 938 yds 9 TDs
Gaff 25 rec 340 yds 4 TDs
Branch 20 rec 280 yds 2 TDs
RBs 45 rec 400 yds 2 TDs
Shiancoe, Fells, Edelman, etc. 20 rec 250 yds 5 TDs

See, that seems conservative to me when I look at the individual numbers. Everyone's production takes a step back in receptions and YPC except Hernandez, who's very young, having a great camp, and should benefit from being the lesser evil as far as opposing Ds are concerned. Yet the total is still 430 completions, 5488 yds, and 51 TDs.

Obviously, that's too much to hope for. But it speaks to where the upper end of this group's potential is.

I don't predict yards like that because I can never get it right, but I did predict a few weeks ago that Lloyd, Welker, and Gronk would all get over 1,000 yards.

Welker: 95 rec, 5 TDs, 1100 yds
Gronk: 80 rec, 12 TDs, 1050 yds
Hernandez: 75 rec, 8 TDs, 975 yds
Lloyd: 60 rec, 7 TDs, 850 yds
Gaffney: 20 rec, 2 TDs, 250 yds
Branch: 20 rec, 3 TDs, 250 yds
RBs: 40 rec, 4 TDs, 380 yds
rest: 15 rec, 2 TDs, 175 yds

lloyd most yards
welker most catches
gronk most TD

ummmm.......a sh-t load:singing:

TB 10,000yds, 100%comp, 100tds

That's just to Gronk...

4800 yards and 42 TDs
How can he throw for fewer yards than 2011 with the addition of Lloyd and the addition by subtraction of Ocho?

It sounds crazy to say that 42 TDs isn't enough but it may not be enough. Depends. I'll buy the 42 for now but won't be surprised if he breaks his own record.

2007 without the hangover.

I like this idea that Hernandez closes that gap a little. If he hadn't missed two games ...

Gronk is going to draw a lot of attention, maybe enough to justify featuring my Mexican more.

This year is The Year of the Mexican. Arriba! Fantasy fans better pay attention to the Mexican.

He's Puerto Rican, not Mexican.

Brady 5200 yd 45 TD

Wes. 101rec 1050yd TD 5
Lloyd. 67 rec 1100 TD 6
Gronkowski. 70rec. 1008yd TD 11
Hern. 74 rec. 1000 yd TD 12
Gaf. 45 rec. 500 yd. TD 5
Branch/stall. 35 rec. 400 yd TD 4
Rb. 25 rec. 200 yd. TD 1
Te 3. 10 rec. 110 yd TD 1

Honestly who knows, hopefully this is close. But if there's a better running game these could drop harshly.

2007 without the hangover.

It will be very easy for him to throw for fewer yards even with a better, deeper and more explosive passing offense, if the defense improves and doesnt let teams hang around so that when we have 30 points and 300 passing yards by the 3rd quarter we aren't still needing to throw.

You're right. It seems like it would be a curse to say over 5k yards and more TDs.

Those number pretty much MVP in any other season would be top numbers (than 2007/2011).

Perhaps, BB starts pulling him in the 3rd quarter of the last 2-3 games :D (like that would ever happen) or we just pound the running game.

Brady will have as many yards as I have posts:)

The X Factor some of you forget is the health and cohesiveness of the OL

No one knows if Light's retirement and the current state of injuries on the OL is going to become problematic this season.

Brady can't toss for over 4,800 yards if he is on his back .... Protection is the key that only few think about.

Brady is a lot of things but one thing he is not......a scrambler.

Because they will run the ball more if the Defense is better. Thus Brady won't need 5000K yds and 50TD's for the Pats to win.

Why not? Brees did it last year. Who's to say Brady can't throw for 53, 54,

even 5500 yards this year with the schedule they have.
