My guess is the Tuna retires so he can spend more time doing relaxing things like fishing (for Tuna one would assume).
Taking a chance on TO this year (and no matter what he says, he could have stopped that move) suggested to me that Parcells was giving it everything to win this year. I think he felt that Bledsoe would at least be servicable enough to get them to the playoffs.
While Bledsoe disappointed he's damn lucky Romo got on a good run - but I think Parcells knows its unlikely that Romo isn't going to get them a SB Ring next year - and Pro Bowl or not, he might not be sure if he's got his QB or not.

TUNA DECISION COMING TOMORROW?
A source who has tipped us off to some good stuff in the past tells us that Bill Parcells has made a decision regarding whether he'll return for a fifth season as coach of the Cowboys, and that the decision will be announced on Saturday.
Parcells technically has until February 1 to make his decision, but there has been increased consternation in Big D for Parcells to decide what to do. Defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer recently left for Atlanta, which has prompted speculation that Parcells isn't coming back.
Stay tuned.
