I'm not sure if you guys up in New England have Brandsmart USA stores, but they are a big name down here for sellout prices on lots of junk. (I got my vacuum cleaner there).

Well guess who I saw in a commercial for Brandsmart? That's right, Mr. Sellmyself himself, Peyton Manning.

It's a spot for HD TVs and this kid is trying to give Peyton tips on how to run the offense (since the kid can see everything so clearly on the HD) so Peyton tells him to run a 'screen pass' and the kid (offscreen) runs into stuff as Peyton pegs him with the ball.

Brandsmart is like a jumbo-sized Kmart, so I was kind of surprised to see Manning in their ad. The only other star I've seen in one of their spots has been that guy from Chips. Poncho or whatever.

I wonder how much he charges to do balloon animals at kid parties.

I'm guessing $1,000 ... per balloon. Plus the standard 100k 'appearance fee'.

I wish someone would tell Manning it isn't about the quanity, it's about quality. He really dilutes his credibility by hawking for everything rather than products that are aligned with his own "brand. What's next, ads for "The Money Store?"

Aw, ****. Everytime I turn around there's a Brandsmart commercial.

That sounds an awful lot like the commercial he does for a a regional electronics chain based in Indianapolis called hh Gregg. He's talking to an hh Gregg associate about HDTV and the kid is telling him all about it, then gives him football advice, and the same thing happens. Peyton tells him to show him the route and he runs into something off screen blah blah blah.

It was probably a generic ad made to run in several different markets. I'm sure Brandsmart didn't actually pay Peyton to do it. They probably just bought the rights and put their logo on the ad.

did brady tell visa he did not want to do anymore ads or did they fire him or what happened there

Visa fired Tom after he ended the season of the Chargers. :p

I'm sure we will soon see him selling roofing tar

Very interesting article in the Globe yesterday that says Manning made $11.5 million doing a gazillion ads last year and Brady made $9 million doing a small number of high quality products, like those watches.

So you are exactly right.

And Brady didn't wear a cheesy mustache.

As much as I hate to see his mug all over my tv, give credit to his agent for getting him all these gigs.

Wrong, please see the Globe article previously referenced.

His agent is a peddler.

Brady's agent is all class.

No, but he did walk around in Tighty Whiteys for SNL. My Fiance loved that.
