Ok... I know some have asked, and said that the networks haven't shown a actually clip of the Patriots "disrespecting" the Chargers... Well, here it is... I'm seeing both sides, and I am a little bit disappointed by the Pats, because it WAS NOT ONLY Hobbs, and this isn't how the Pats want to represent themselves... Rivers was hot, meaning pissed... ( although, he is kind of cute  lol) If someone has already shown this, I apologize...

does not bother me at all, if there was nothing said in the past by the chargers then it might, but they dissed the pats after the game last year and shawn merriman said he was gonna "punch tom brady in the face" what they did at the end does not bother me in the least because of what the players and coaches had said before. i guess they can dish it out but not take it...

I would wager that the tunnel film is nothing new in the NFL but is being used to serve an agenda, IMHO. I would love to have unlimited access to the NFL Films library to do some research to help illustrate past examples of the on-field and tunnel smack by other teams after such an important victory.

Well, I understand why they did it... It was a pretty emotional game to say the least, and quite frankly, you can only take so much before you "explode" or "release your anger", etc. In that sense, it doesn't bother me but I guess what does, I'm use to seeing them be professional about things, that is what the Patriots have always stood out over other clubs, is their "class" when they win and in defeats, and the general way they handle themselves. I'm not saying they aren't "classy" anymore, I think the media is overhyping it too much, but because LT said something, they feel like they have to talk about it... BB isn't getting much love from the media, he's being called a bully but the Chargers though really can't talk at all though, because they did it last year at the Patriots, sooo... I think that Pats may have shot themselves in the foot by setting the standard so high for themselves. JMO...

generally the sports media hates the patriots because they win so much and because they do not have the sex appeal the colts do

I know all you guys are saying the Chargers deserved it and I'll tell you something, You're GOD DAMNED right they deserve it. But, just because they deserve it doesn't mean it's what should be done.

That being said Rivers needs to shut his mouth. Talkin trash the whole game and then he can't take it when it's rubbed in his face? Screw you.

Honestly, I like it. I WANT our guys to be nasty. Not dirty, but nasty. They're fired up, they're psyched to beat an annoying, dancing, trash talking opponent. Good for them. And what does this "teach our kids"? It teaches them to STFU and play. Leave the celebrating for AFTER you win. And if your opponent demeans you, stand up for yourself.

Players mimicking other players celebrations is nothing new in the NFL. The Pats did it in the Super Bowl against the Eagles.

I think what is more dispicable is that Tomlinson had to be held back from going after other players because he is such a sore loser. I say grow-up and win next time, you wont have to worry about the other team celebrating on your field.

This whole thing is a red herring. Nothing Earth-shattering there; smack talk like that happens all the time, LT and Rivers just lost their cool right after a tough loss (which I don't have a problem with) - but LT wasn't man enough to let it go a day later (which I do have a problem with).

Can't see the video at work, but I'm subscribing to the thread so that I can watch it at home.

Shocking, truly shocking. How dare a team celebrate a hard fought victory on another team's field. How dare they imitidate the "dance" that team uses to taunt other teams. Shocking it really is. ;)

While I might agree that they got a little over the top in thier celebration, I would also say that the things San Diego did - and said - in the week elading up to the game had at elast soemthign to do with that reaction.

Merriman's "Brady Sucks" chant at the pep rally, his announcement that he was going to "punch Brady in the mouth", etc., all registered on the Pats radar and San Deigo paid the price!

Also, given a choice between a jacked up, pissed off Pats team vs. a docile one, I'll take the jacked up version every time.

I know, see my second post.... You can only take so much.... TD celebrations, trash talking through the game, keeping quiet during the week of the game is nothing new to the Pats and I love that, I'm not saying anything is wrong about that... But what I saw on the video, does bother me a little bit, for some reason, I guess because everyone claims that they have character-- well, frankly, that doesn't look like character, or class, but a bunch of Chargers in the wrong uniform.

This isn't a tennis or golf match.
Rivers' and LT's reactions immediately post game are understandeable and completely forgiveable....but the losers do not get to dictate to the winners how they celebrate...sorry.

Anyone who thinks the Patriots haven't done this before has not been paying attention.

"Cancel those reservations," McGinest

Terrel Owens dance, Rodney Harrison.

Bruschi, "You can change the rules, but it ain't gonna make a difference."

Hell, Troy Brown was doing a Lights Out dance outside the Chargers locker room, and this was AFTER the Hobbs-Tomlinson incident.

If you think this is a departure from Patriot behavior in the past, you haven't been watching closely.

And as for Phillip Rivers, I guess if crybabies appeal to you he's cute, because his behavior post games has been much worse than anything I saw from the Patriots on Sunday. How about his behavior after the Bengals game this year? Was that classy. You can check it out on Youtube.

Rivers is Leaf Redux. You just watch.

I said Rivers was cute, but that doesn't mean I liked his attitude... Again, I don't mind the dancing... I give up... *throwing hands up*

Philip Rivers needs to act like he's lost a game before. What a douche bag.

Nothing the Pats did was a) out of ordinary for NFL team b) out of ordinary for the Pats.

It pales in comparison to Deion's trash talking in Pittsburgh or Rodney's Eagles arm flapping the Super Bowl.

So, in short, LT and Philip River can f**k themselves, f**kin d-bags.

Oh my God, they were excited that they won a game that no-one thought they would - and this time it wasn't just Rodney's disrespect thing - everyone picked against them and they went out and won in a tough, hard fought battle. I have yet to see anything that bothered me - and if they were just stupid robots they wouldn't have won.

Well put.

I can't believe people have bought into Rivers and LT's whining. Those are the real two classless folks here - they couldn't handle losing and that's that. It wouldn't have mattered what we had done. If we had sat there and not celebrated, they would've accussed of us some kind of reverse-psychology taunting. They are two sore losers and that's it.

If that's it, the Chargers look worse than I thought.

I can certainly believe Colvin, Wilfork, Hobbs or someone did something truly inappropriate that justifies the kind of response LT had. But if they did, it sure isn't in that video.

The worst behavior on that video by far is that of Philip Rivers, frankly.

Is there more on what the Pats did than that? Doing the 'lights out' dance for three seconds hardly qualifies, imo, as a big deal. I thought there would be more.
