I won a Patriots package which includes a VIP trip to Training camp and going to a home game in the putnam club seats for this season. They briefly mentioned that I will be getting a signed authentic Brady jersey. What I didnt know is that the signed authentic brady jersey is a signed game worn jersey. How much do you think a signed authentic game worn jersey is worth?

Looks like they retail for $600 and up, so I'm guessing you could get $400 or more. There are plenty of legit memorabilia outfits that should be able to give you a more accurate figure.

It' a GAME WORN signed Brady Jersey. Isnt it worth more if it was worn by Tom Brady during a game?

I wouldn't sell that if I were you, but I'm not you, so do as you wish.

I have your $100 whenever you'd like it

I wasn't planning on selling it. I am planning on buying a frame for it and save it for my son for when I die and hopefully he passes it to his kids!!

I kinda know about this stuff because I do collect stuff. A real signed Brady jersey can fetch as much as $1200 (Depends on the jersey and quality of signiture). The thing is there is so much fake crap out there that are inexpensive that it is hard to tell the price off hand. Brady does only one signing event a year (although he hasn't done it in a couple of years) and charges $600 per autograph. Since he hasn't done the event in several years, the supply is dwindling which could drive up the price.

If you plan to sell it, you need to send it away to an authenticator to get a certificate of authenticity. It is cheap though for like $50. JSA is probably the best. I would probably suggest getting it autheticated even if you don't plan to sell it.

James Spence Authentication

You might also want to look at New England Picture. They have several retail stores in New England and a couple times a year they have people from JSA at one of theirs stores doing authentications.

BTW, Big Vince will be in their RI store on Monday doing autographs for anyone interested.

Sorry, if it is a game worn jersey, you might get a few grand for it. Maybe three.

My guess is you won't get a game worn jersey though.

Half the stuff you find online are fakes especially with Brady. I spoke to someone who deals in this stuff and he told me that he estimates that 80-90% of the Brady stuff signed online is fake because it costs so much to actually to get him to autograph stuff (most of players autographed merchandise comes from paid signing events) and he does it so infrequently. A real signed Brady jersey is going to cost you at least a grand unless you get an idiot who sells it without knowing the true value.

The reason I know the one I am getting is real is because I am getting it directly from the New England Patriots!

I know your's is real, but you should get it authenticated anyway. Even if you are keeping it, will make your display a little nicer if you have a certificate of authenticity and a hologram sticker on the jersey. If you have any real collectors look at, it will be the first thing they will look for. But that is up to you if you want to do it.

I think it comes with a team certificate, but I should still get it authenticated?

How exactly does that work?

Do you have to keep it in the origional packaging or is the letter sufficient for an authenticator?

If the team gives you a certificate of authenticity, that is enough.

Great! I dont want to put out more money. I will be spending a lot on the frame itself. I will be putting a lock on the frame!!

I'm not sure what you are asking. Authenticated signed merchandise doesn't need to be in the original packing as long as you have the hologram and certificate of authenticity.

re: Just wondering: value of VIP training camp package & Brady signed game jersey?

Had no idea a Brady signed Jersey was worth almost a grand. My father won one at a Patriots game. His is a replica jersey. This was one of the in stadium give aways, they actually called us before the game to tell us to be in our seats at the right time and someone came over handed us the merchandise and we were put up on the Jumbo Tron. Not sure if he got a certificate with it or not but its obviously real.

My daughter has a signed Ashley Force bobblehead from when we went to a NHRA event from a few years back.

Obviously, we have no letter. Would an authenticator verify a signature for a certificate?

We actually have a Brady bobblehead in the origional package.

If TB signed it-

Is it actually worth being authenticated for long term purposes?

What would the authenticator need?

An unsigned Brady GW jersey went for over $20,000 at an auction last year.

You would have to send the signed bobblehead to the authenticator. Because they have to verify the signature. If they determined it authentic, they would create a certificate that proves the signature is authentic. Leave it in the package because it loses its value if you take it out. You might want to contact them to make sure.

I would get it authenticated personally, but there is no requirement to do so. If you ever try to sell it, you will have a hard time getting value without it though. With something like a bubblehead, I might check out JSA's site and see if they will be in the Boston area anytime in the near future so you don't risk breaking by shipping.
