I don't like him as a coach. As a person I don't know him (sure has some weird fetishes though) but good for him getting his health under control for his family's sake.

Good for him. I imagine it must be difficult to live to the fullest at his previous weight.

Well done by Rex; he just has to remember, as Bill Parcells famously has said, "victory is temporary."

The man loves to eat (obviously). Entire pizzas? 12 tacos? Sheesh.

I can't say I'm a huge fan of Rex's, but he at least deserves his health so good for him.

Ok great. Next topic.

It only took him two years to lose a substantial amount of weight after lapband surgery. At least it actually worked for him (unlike Weiss).

He's getting more practical experience at being a good loser. ;)

...And getting ready for the imminent transition from the sidelines to the studio ...

Yeah great, congratulations on all the hard work, sacrifice, determination and self control.

Oh wait, he has none of those. He's just a fat bastard who was so obese they had to staple his bloated, distending stomach.

What will power, what self control, what courage.

Bravo Fat Boy! Bravo!

Let's see him in a few years. A lot of people who get lapband surgery gain the weight back within a few years of losing it.

That is ALOT of weight, good for him. I guess now he can see his own feet... He may find that a bit too distracting

I "hate" the Jets and the man, but it is really hard to lose weight and losing that much is quite an accomplishment. Congrats to him for that feat and I hope he can keep it off and stay healthy.

I can appreciate what he did. I've lost 80 lbs in the last year, and its a tough slog...I can attest to that.

Congrats to Rex on getting his weight under control. I can't stand the Jets, but kinda like Rexy.

I too had lapband surgery and started in the 340's. I give him alot of credit for doing something about his weight. It's a battle everyday to not only maintain healthy eating habits and battling the side effects of the band( vomiting, stuck episodes and possible slippage)...I won't get into that. I lost 100+ lbs within the first year..

Anyways, LETS GO PATS!!

I lost 30lbs two years ago and keeping it off is just as hard IMO.

I kind of liked him fat to be honest. It went with the loudmouth persona.

As awful as this sounds some characters need to be fat in order to keep their persona. Like Wayne Knight from Seinfeld (Newman). He lost 100+ lbs and couldnt find a job. For whatever his personal reason, he put the weight back on and now hes back on TV.

Rex Ryan has a 38in waist now. He might be less than BBs.
